Read some of his quote in this.
What naivety.
Rand is playing the gentleman loser. An art George Will had mastered perfectly.
Playing by rules and ethics that no longer exist.
Wake up Paul.
Screw rand paul and all his ilk in the senate!
Gee when Obama issued a National Emergency TWELVE TIMES, I didnt hear a peep from these people..in fact, I didnt even know that Obama even issued them, because ALL Presidents are allowed to do, but when Trump does it its OMG OMG THE SKY IS FALLING, our Constitution, ETC ETC
Veto every bill they stick on his desk.
Rand Paul big loser in two ways. First he is voting for El Chapo and human trafficking. Forget illegal immigration. Second the guy who beat the crap out of him wins again. Getting the crap beat out of you has a lasting effect.
"Extra powers"? Um....NO.
He thinks he’s defending a Constitution that was violated by BOTH parties on Usurpation Day, January 20, 2009.
We have as much Constitution as we imagine we do, in reality it’s words on paper.
I sure hope the President has some serious information on these folks that he hasn’t pulled out yet. He should have vetoed this thing a few weeks ago, or at least delayed it, so he could go through it and have them all explain why they support amnesty and, basically, eliminate the deportation process. Drop that rock right in their laps.
But, I’ve said it many times, as have so many others. Get a hold of the list of Congress D-bags and the $17,000,000.00 of taxpayer money they used to payoff sexual harassment claims and I think we’ll see some of this go away.
Standing up for Congressional power, why, its a matter of Constitutional principles when a Trump is in office. We stand with the Constitution above party politics!!! But it is racism when Obama is in office (hence why no Republican did it then, the dear corageous bass turds.).
True leadership on display right here.
I actually agree with Senator Paul's sentiments, and would in his case vote "no" as well, but Congress ceded that portion of the "power of the purse" some time ago, and the only way to change it is to repeal that previous legislation, which is where the effort should lie instead of some resolution.
I cant vote to give the president the power to spend money that hasnt been appropriated by Congress, Paul said, according to the newspaper. We may want more money for border security, but Congress didnt authorize it. If we take away those checks and balances, its a dangerous thing.
And where were you when Obama gave billions to Iran?
Bogus reason.
The Commander in Chief defends the nation with appropriated money. He makes the calls on what does or doesn’t need defending.
Potus needs congressional authorization to initiate war.
Potus does NOT need congressional authorization to DEFEND the USA.
No one disputes that the President can declare a national emergency. The issue is whether such a declaration allows the President to spend money that Congress didn't appropriate. No prior President has attempted to do that.
When Obama declared a National Emergency 12 times, did he not bypass Congress(Asking because obviously when Obama did it no one reported it so I really dont know), when Obama gave Iran, a terrorist regime who has called for the death of America AND Israel, in the middle of the night billions of OUR tax dollars, didnt he need Congressional approval for that? I believe he just bypassed Congress and did it right?
No they all supported Obama and the NWO so they resist Trump.
“Screw rand paul and all his ilk in the senate!
AMEN!
I Never trusted this BOZO!
There are 4 of them, how does this affect passage or VETO?
No Rand, that is NOT the issue. Congress DID appropriate the money that Trump wants to spend. It was just for other purposes, and never used.
The idiotic Reginald Denny effect
