Ocasio a ‘pompous little twit’ and a ‘garden-variety hypocrite,’-former Greenpeace Canada president

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez continues to draw fire from her critics on the right for her Green New Deal, but the New York Democratic congresswoman is making fresh headlines this weekend for getting slammed by what would seem an unlikely voice: a former president of Greenpeace Canada.

Here’s what Patrick Moore, who left his high-ranking role at Greenpeace decades ago, had to say on Twitter TWTR, -0.52% about her:

‘You’re just a garden-variety hypocrite like the others. And you have ZERO expertise at any of the things you pretend to know.’

He launched his latest criticism at Ocasio-Cortez — there have been others — following a piece in the New York Post, which called her out for claiming the environmental high ground while riding around in planes and gas guzzlers.

Moore was clearly triggered. He went on to call out Ocasio-Cortez as “pompous little twit” and “an immature bully” whose “arrogance plus ignorance... is a recipe for disaster.” She’s “unjustifiably condescending” and “a neophyte pretending to be wise," Moore said during his Twitter tirade.

Ocasio-Cortez’s detractors were quick to embrace and trumpet the views of the self-proclaimed “sensible environmentalist.” It’s important to note, however, that Greenpeace long ago distanced itself from Moore, saying he “often misrepresents himself in the media as an environmental ‘expert’ or even an ‘environmentalist,’ while offering anti-environmental opinions on a wide range of issues.”

Greenpeace accuses him of exploiting former ties with the group and portraying himself as a prodigal son who’s seen the error of his ways. “Unfortunately, the media — especially conservative media — give him a platform for his views, and often do so without mentioning the fact that he is a paid spokesperson for polluting companies,” Greenpeace said in a scathing 2010 statement.

Meanwhile, Ocasio-Cortez keeps building her case for the Green New Deal:

Greenpeace doesn't like her, either? It sure is fun to see pompous, elitist out of touch liberal mainstays unhappy. Greenpeace is not about saving the environment. It's about doing outrageous stuff to give them the spotlight and feel important. What have they ever accomplished?

The Democratic, liberal establishment is just as obscene about those who don't tow their line as 'pubs and their masters have been about President Trump.

I'm lovin' it.

That big brown thing looks like a chicken breast to me. Of course she said it’s a hunk of tofu or some crap. Actually, I can believe that she eats no protein. Her brain is clearly starved of something that it needs, AOC is aggressively stupid.
