WASHINGTON (AP) — Under pointed questioning from senators, the top U.S. general for homeland defense said Tuesday that he sees no military threat coming from the southern border with Mexico, but his focus is on “very real” threats from China and Russia.

Should be NoCom, as in no command. I'd more readily listen to an Army or Marine general.
It’s not a military threat, it’s a criminal invasion, the magnitude of which requires a military response.
And neither does PT see a “military” threat from the south. But It does represent a very real threat to America all the same.
If I were Trump, I would be so discouraged. So much betrayal from supposed patriots at every turn. Mitch, all the RINO Senators, Paul Ryan, Michael Cohen. On and on forever.

It’s is absolutely a paramilitary threat. There is no dispute the drug cartels are heavily armed and are infiltrating into the US through the unguarded border areas.
Is a “military threat” the only threat to a nation’s border?

This guy works quite literally under a rock called Cheyenne Mountain and takes a trip to the border with the SECDEF. Hardly a subject matter expert on the border threat.

Like I said on a different thread ... This fight is going to either come down to regular American citizens taking armed intervention on the border, or a civil war - starting with an armed insurrection against Washington D.C.

The drug cartels and coyotes (basically Mexico’s Militia) however....

Why the hell is an “Air Force” General wading in on “combat readiness”? Did the run out of ice at the Officers’ Club, or something?
Hey, Gen-Gen...ever hear of “guerrilla warfare”, Al Quida, ISIS, the Sandinista, etc? You don’t need a snappy uniform, or shiny boots to be a threat to the sanctity and security of another country, just a desire to take over and grab the spoils of invasion.
General, have you noticed the caravans from central America headed our way, and their determination to come into our country, welcomed or not? Have you seen the tunneling, the climbing, the smuggling, the drugs, the illegal alien crime problem...or any of those things.
At least the military is somewhat controlled, and organized...take them away and the invaders come in willy-nilly and militias - manned by armed civilians - break out everywhere. Is that what you want General.
Or, are you just hoping this will land you a gig on a news channel panel as a “military expert”?
