Plants on Earth have flourished for hundreds of millions of years, yet President Donald Trump's pick to lead his new climate team insists that they need more carbon dioxide to thrive.
Princeton physicist and carbon dioxide-advocate William Happer has been selected to head the brand new Presidential Committee on Climate Security, reports The Washington Post. The atomic scientist -- who achieved recognition for his work on atomic collisions and telescope optics, not climate science -- maintains that the planet's atmosphere needs significantly more CO2, the potent greenhouse gas that U.S. government scientists -- and a bevy of independent scientists -- have repeatedly underscored is stoking accelerating climate change.
Because plants use carbon dioxide to live, Happer has said "more CO2 is actually a benefit to the Earth," asserted that Earth is experiencing a "CO2 famine," and concluded that "If plants could vote, they would vote for coal."

The author of this article ignores the fact that during those hundreds of millions of years that plants have flourished, the levels of CO2 in the atmosphere were often higher than they are now; sometimes lower, true, but plants did not flourish as much during those times.

If you are fighting climate change, you are fighting God because God created and controls the climate. However, I suppose that is par for their course since the same ones that say they are fighting climate change are also the murder of His creations [unborn and partially born babies]. It is not enough that spit in God’s face and shake their fist at Him by murdering innocent babies, they also must show their contempt of Him by attempt to tamper with another of His creations, the climate. There is a day of reckoning coming.

Well, gosh, now that you have explained it I understand perfectly. I don’t know why I could not see all that before but I’m still struggling with why AlGore would buy a seaside mansion when he says that sea levels have already risen half a mile in the past thirty minutes or something like that. Oh, I get so confused when I try to understand all this.
Trump is correct. The optimum concentration of CO2 for most of our food plants is 1000 ppm. Through most of earth’s history the concentration of CO2 was over 1000 ppm.
The current concentration of CO2 is 400 ppm. 15,000 years ago it was as low as 180 ppm. You know, when the current warming started. If it had dropped to 150 ppm nearly all of earth’s green plants would’ve become extinct.

It is not that any single plant needs more CO2.
It is that (just like in a greenhouse) if there is more CO2 in the atmosphere, plant life will spread - there will be more plant life. How that is bad, the folks who always claim we cannot now feed the starving world will not say.

Don't waste your time trying to refute human-caused climate change with these global warming Lefties or Al Gorists, as I call them.
That's because the climate change issue is not the real issue. It is merely a ruse to get to their actual goal.
And that goal is to destroy capitalism, which runs on fossil fuels and replacing it with socialism, which runs on other people's money....yours and mine.

Someone who claims something is bad also needs evidence. Computer model projections are not evidence. Exactly how many tons of plant loss will occur due to lowering CO2 ?
