Ireland will take back extremists who have travelled to fight with terrorist groups like Isil, Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has said.
While he indicated each case would have to be considered on its own merits, Mr Varadkar said this country shouldnt expect our citizens to be somebody elses problem.
An estimated half-dozen Irish passport holders are believed to be still operating on behalf of Islamic State (Isil) in Syria.
If only a subsequent news report stated that the plane they were on went down but thankfully the crew survived unhurt.
Irish seem to have a love for terrorist.
They stopped being your citizens when they joined a foreign entity that wants to destroy you and your country.
They’ll show their gratitude in typical terroristic fashion.

Irish idiots. Just wait til their “repatriated” terrorists waste no time setting up sleeper cells to murder Irish citizens.
I like the cut of your jib.
In my opinion, the terrorists that commit crimes against humanity have to be dealt with either militarily or civilly. I myself, prefer that ‘citizens’ be dealt with by their respective nations; however, if that can not happen then I would suggest the nations they committed the crimes in take jurisdiction. Regardless, in no circumstance should ‘returning’ terrorists get a free pass to carry on as if there were no crimes and the were not involved in perpetrating or even aiding and abetting the criminals.
Some people have to learn the hard way.
Know Islam, No Peace
No Islam, Know Peace
Well, sure let them back as long as you’re going to put them in the can. If not, this is stupid.
I guess the snakes are no longer driven out of Ireland. Theyre coming back.
Thinking tbe same thing.
“Make them kiss The Blarney Stone.”
also my initial thought except I added “oppsa, sorry ‘bout that, slips happen. Next!”
In times past brigands and pirates were exicuted when caught.
so they are pro-war criminal?
Bet not one is tried for treason and executed.
I’m okay with allowing these murdering terrorists to come home to Ireland - as long as home is a 6’ by 8’ cell for the rest of their evil lives.
The hero’s come home to their communities where they will be supported by tax payer money
