Too many Yankees have moved in and voted their Failed State Ways that they fled.
Hear! Hear! You Got That Right!
My wife and I have been planning to retire to Texas. I’m hoping there are still enough independent freedom lovers to push back against the invaders. Unfortunately, the parasites will eventually suck the life out of America for their global utopia idol.
We are trying like heck to keep it red, but all the out of stater libs are making it purple.
Remember The Alamo
Feb 23, 1836 Mar 6, 1836
Well if youre going to ground and take a stand, youve hit a place that knows the ropes. The libs may take it but Texas wont come cheap. God Bless Texas.
I’m taking my stand in South Carolina.
Oh. Yeah. Try saying remember the Alamo at any given supermarket on a Sunday evening In San Antonio. The Texans sure wont help you out.
It won’t be enough but it will bring two more conservatives and willing to protect the Republic.
They didn’t even have to fire a shot to take San Antone. All hat and no cattle as Trump says.
I, for one, would welcome you both. I love my state and we need good conservative defenders of the Republic.
Dont sell yourself short. Crockett and some boys from Tennessee and Kentucky, and other places helped Travis hold for 13 days against 5000 with 185. Aint the dog in the fight, its the fight in the dog.
My daughter lives is Crosby Texas (close to Houston).
We visited her a year ago. I’ve never seen that many retired veteran in one place in my life.
Two out of every three men you encounter are wearing some veteran cap, Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard, they’re all there. I never felt like I fit in more that that.
George P. Bush will oversee the transformation of the Alamo into a Mexican victory monument.
Bowie relinquished command after becoming ill on Feb. 24th. Travis took the reigns. “A peculiar disease of a peculiar nature” said the garrison surgeon.
Yellow fever has been contemplated, so has influenza. Travis and others fell ill later in the siege.
It’s important to look at a list of names of those who fought at the Alamo. Many were Hispanic names. Their legacy should not be lost.
The Alamo’s well proved inadequate in supplying the garrison’s water needs. This forced the defenders to obtain water from the acequia and reservoir to east of the compound setting the stage for several skirmishes.
Travis penned his “Victory or Death” letter. Defender Albert Martin carried the letter from the Alamo and added his own comments to the back of the document.
To the People of Texas & All Americans in the World
Fellow citizens & compatriots
I am besieged, by a thousand or more of the Mexicans under Santa Anna I have sustained a continual Bombardment & cannonade for 24 hours & have not lost a man The enemy has demanded a surrender at discretion, otherwise, the garrison are to be put to the sword, if the fort is taken I have answered the demand with a cannon shot, & our flag still waves proudly from the walls I shall never surrender or retreat. Then, I call on you in the name of Liberty, of patriotism & everything dear to the American character, to come to our aid, with all dispatch The enemy is receiving reinforcements daily & will no doubt increase to three or four thousand in four or five days. If this call is neglected, I am determined to sustain myself as long as possible & die like a soldier who never forgets what is due to his own honor & that of his country VICTORY OR DEATH.
William Barret Travis,
Lt. Col. comdt.
P.S. The Lord is on our side. When the enemy appeared in sight we had not three bushels of corn. We have since found in deserted houses 80 or 90 bushels and got into the walls 20 or 30 head of Beeves.
Hispanic names does not mean they were fighting for Mexico. By definition they were not.
