Ok, oldtimer, how about a current macro perspective:
Have you ever seen a President that has made sense to so many everyday folks that is so disliked by both parties? Disliked by some very intensely, perhaps irrationally? And, if not entirely disliked by his own party, just not supported by many?
Is that not a major indicator of change on the horizon, or is it merely "chasing an angle"? (And I am in your age group.)
The President is disliked by people who are seeing their power and influence eroded. The Democrats are a lost cause, they are now full fledged communists and anarchists. The GOP of Paul Ryan, Bushes and Romney are only supported by a tiny minority of very wealthy connected people. The masses do not support them, we only greatly dislike their political opponents.
