Mayor de Blasio took his presidential ambitions to Iowa on Saturday night, where he’s deploying a head-scratcher campaign strategy: trash talking Hillary Clinton and praising President Trump - and all the while still not declaring his candidacy.
Only 25 Sioux City residents braved a blizzard to hear Hizzoner insist he’d do a better job than Clinton at leading Democrats. Clinton spent too much time trashing her Republican opponent in 2016, the mayor complained.
“We’re not going to win by talking about Donald Trump,” the mayor said inside a cavernous bar.local bar as a blizzard raged outside.
“I have deep respect for our previous nominee - I know her very well - but I think a lot of us would say that was one of the mistakes, the focus on Trump,” he said.

Let’s be generous and say that the dolts in the Woodbury County Democratic Party and whoever is going to show up at that union hall in Des Moines on Sunday are not really aware of how poorly Comrade DiBlasio has run NYC, but instead see that he’s been overwhelmingly elected twice and figure he’s a major player. Okay, but even given that, how do they reconcile listening to him after an imbecile stepped in and ran rings around him by scuttling a deal for $27 billion in tax revenues and 25,000 jobs? That, after all, was national news.

He did such a wonderful job with homelessness, with wonderful NYC, that he wants to share his talents on America...the land that he loves...to hate.
Trash Clinton, praise Trump...bum is figuring out a winning strategy.
As Mayor of NYC, deBlasio has the power to grant favors to local businesses.
By contributing to deBlasio’s presidential fund, local businesses can earn favors from him.
So no wonder deBlasio is running for president. It’s a gold mine for him.
And all he has to do is make occasional trips to places like Sioux City, Iowa, in order to keep up the charade, gain more publicity, and thereby attract more campaign dollars.
