I listened carefully to most of Pocahontas speech last night in NH. She supported "a Green New Deal" not the Green New Deal. They are going to try to strip out the outrageous crap from AOC's GND and repackage it as a "bipartisan" "downpayment" on our climate sins. They realize full well that socialist lunacy will not sell to independents, nor will the notions that we will give up cars, tear down our houses and move into government housing, etc.

It will still contain ridiculous targets and dates however. Every politician knows that promising something by a decade from now means it's BS but supports pork barrel spending right now.

So, by having AOC lead the original, outrageous charge, they now seek to propose a less extreme program.

Let’s hope the Republicans find a spine and fight this. All this is going to do is redistribute wealth, and we know that.

We need to hold their feet to the fossil fuel fire.
