‘Build the Wall’ dinner at Claim Jumper: California Tea Party fights GOP ‘establishment’

Tea Party Republicans are getting tired of the California GOP.

Coming off a devastating performance in the midterms, some Republicans in California are calling for a full embrace of President Donald Trump, even at a time when the president has contributed to historic Democratic victories across the state.

Loyalists blame “the establishment” for the losses and demand the party move in a more pro-Trump direction.

That’s why California’s Tea Party Caucus is hosting a “Build the Wall Dinner” on Saturday.

The sold-out 7 p.m. event will be held at the Claim Jumper restaurant — just a couple blocks away from the state GOP’s annual convention. Sean Spicer, Trump’s former press secretary, will give his convention speech at the Sacramento Hyatt Regency at the same time.

John Berry, a convention delegate who will be attending the Tea Party event, said he’s disappointed to miss out on Spicer. Still, he’s excited to join his friends in condemning moderate Republicans.

“There’s so much frustration with the establishment,” Berry said. “We’ve declined significantly in the last few years, and I hope people look to the Tea Party and see we’re leading the way forward. Republicans are unfortunately about the establishment. We need to go in a whole new direction that’s a little more bold and forceful.”

The California Republican Party will decide its direction this weekend when an estimated 1,400 delegates will select a new leader at the convention.

Support this’

WHY ARE WE ALLOWING CITIZENS FROM OTHER COUNTRIES
ENTERING ILLEGALLY GRANTING THEM RIGHTS
THAT THEIR COUNTRY DENY US HAVING
WHEN ENTERING IT LEGALLY ???
It’s time we consider illegal entry by any person who is a non Mexican citizen illegally entering the United States through the US Mexican border a defacto Mexican citizen with limited Mexican constitutional rights subject to their laws while transiting. As well as any Mexican citizen doing so. Subject to reciprocal citizen treatment a citizen of the United States receives in Mexico through the Mexican constitution on citizenship .

Besides being unable to vote one must also be a citizen to own land and Mexico is very restrictive about granting citizenship. Because of that a US citizen besides not being able to vote, and cannot have title in their name to any land property in Mexico. And until that is changed the US and the affected state should consider making that reciprocal.prohibiting citizens of Mexico or countries with similar restrictions from doing both voting and land ownership.. .

The GOP is still run largely by Bush League Republicans who are still intent on completing the Bush Plan for North Mexico (aka USA).

Well, I hope this works better than the LAST version of "the Tea Party," which ended up electing candidates like... Marco Rubio...

The GOP in CA has no one to run. None of them know how speak to an audience and none of them have any fire in the belly. No imagination...zip But they’re really good at dinners and luncheons.

We need to re-vitalize the Tea Party in California—as a way to do a spine graft to the CA GOP. Such dinners/rallies should be held all over the state! Wait til summer and the gas prices go up state wide! California is on the wrong track heading towards socialist shit hole status. The education has been ruined by the Teacher’s Union. Now they will drive out what’s left of industry. Only people who will be making money will be the Mexican Drug Cartels.

The problem running for anything in states like CA, is you have to fit into the political clique and have enormous amounts of cash and influence. Like the Schwarzenegger, Pelosi, Feinstein disasters. They’re all rich!

I’d never fit into that flimflam club where they’ve established political platforms out of nothing but con-jobs and lip service.
