House Democrats on Friday introduced a resolution to block the national emergency declaration that President Donald Trump issued to fund his long-sought wall along the U.S-Mexico border.
The move sets up a fight that could result in Trump’s first veto. It starts the clock on a constitutional clash between Trump and Democrats and sets up a vote by the full House as soon as next week.
The Democratic-controlled House is sure to pass the measure, and the GOP-run Senate may adopt it as well despite Trump’s opposition.
Any Trump veto would likely be sustained, but the upcoming battle will test Republican support for Trump’s move, which even some of his allies view as a stretch — and a slap at lawmakers’ control over the power of the federal purse.

House Dems introduce measure to destroy America.
There are not enough votes in the Senate for this to pass. Even McConnell would not dare pass this. It’s just a lot of hyperbole.
Any Republican who votes for this should have their heads mounted on pikes, figuratively of course.
Any R voting for this should lose every committee seat they hold. They should be shunned and then primaried.

Alexander, Graham, McSally, Murkowsky, Hoeven, Rubio, Tillis, Burr, Lankford, Gardner, Cornyn, Hyde-Smith, Collins, Sasse, Kennedy, Shelby, Ernst, Blunt, McConnell, Wicker, Portman, Isakson, Johnson, Toomey, Rounds, Thune, Gaines, Barasso and Enzi are all Bush League Republicans.
Because they’re out to get Trump. It’s all about their hatred of Trump rather than anything to do with the safety of their constituents.
People fighting tooth an nail for their own destruction. What sort of madness is this?
