Maybe if the Russians intervene in the election. Oh wait.......
They may pick the electors any way they see fit... but they are not allowed to select or exclude the candidates.
Hadn't thought much about it but I am pretty sure the State Parties have to approve/certify candidates, don't know how they could decertify an incumbent.
Unconstitutional, NJ doesn’t get to set the qualifications of the office.
And it could be easily circumvented in any case, you can have GOP electors run without Trump’s name on the ballot, who would then vote for him in the unlikely event we win the state, the bill also supposedly prohibs electors from voting for that candidate but that’s hard to enforce and also unconstitutional.
I didn’t know this but Moonbeam Brown veto a similar measure that passed in Cali.

It’s sad that Moonbeam is an adult compared to most dems.
Also check this out
<<<<<<<<<<New Jersey state Sen. Joe Pennacchio (R) said in a statement to the local paper that the bill should be amended to apply to gubernatorial, state Senate and Assembly candidates, too.
Whats good for the goose is whats good for the gander, Pennacchio told the publication. If this really is about making sure voters are well-informed, then common sense dictates that [the bill] should apply to all of us.
Pennacchios amendments have reportedly been blocked by state Democrats.

I have ... We cannot keep a person off of our ballot.
Any State laws to the contrary will fall as soon as they get challenged.
Just as the democrats could not keep Edwin Edwards - former governors and felon - off of theirs .
Thanks Impy.
But who cares? Theres no way NJ elects Trump
Well, if the states are allowed to implement the national popular vote compact, you had better care.
then, the NJ electors will get kicked out of the electoral college because the election was flawed
If the Court gets around to it, right?
I am guilty of this as well and continually say they can't do that and then they do, maybe the court will rule correctly, maybe they won't, or maybe they will let a lower court ruling stand and we know how fair those inferior courts are.
