Such an international campaign - that ignores sovereignty even as Trump asserts our own - functionally endorses homoeroticism. Do not pretend otherwise.
Acceptance of homoeroticism as a viable lifestyle has done tremendous harm in and out of the church in America.
Now it is literally, aggressively, unilaterally, being taught to young children in public schools, with no allowance for a religious viewpoint to the contrary. Parents have little or no say, and risk losing their children to CPS if they protest in some contexts.
I have been in church service. Do not tell me it does no harm.

I was watching an old speech by Nixon. He was talking about how America should never publicly shame a nation’s internal policies. It only makes them push back harder. HOWEVER, he said that he would privately negotiate moral internal policies.
One of them was with the Soviets with regard to the arm’s negotiations. Personal discussions with the Soviets were that the Soviet’s views on the treaties would be taken into account more if more Jews were allowed to leave the USSR.
Nixon did it quietly and tens of thousands of Jews were allowed to leave each year. When Carter took office, and started making a big deal out of it, the numbers were in the hundreds iirc.
There is no danger that the Saracen republics are going to respond positively to Trump’s request. He is putting LBGetc on record in their contradictions and making them show who they really are.
It’s ludicrous to arrest and punish two consenting adults, regardless of my moral beliefs. But persuading these backwards countries of this will have about the same effect as telling them female genital mutilation is wrong. Maybe over the course of many years it will have some small impact, not sure. So my question to Trump is “Why this?” And there is no point in trying to appease gay activists and the hypocrisy of the left is already clear for those honest enough to look. So I don’t understand Trump’s logic here.

Well put. Homosexuality, as well as the rest of the LGBT alphabet soup, is sinful and immoral, but governments do not exist to enforce morality. Our God granted liberties include the right to be wrong. Governments have no role here.
I’m not worried about this at all.
First and foremost, this is just about domestic US politics, and President Trump has been significantly eroding the blocs within the Democrats. The homosexual bloc is just the most recent.
By eroding, I mean giving an opportunity for bloc members already fed up with the Democrats to walk away from the party. And as with a building built on a weak foundation, it doesn’t take very much erosion at all to make a building fall down.
Otherwise, while it does sound a tad sanctimonious, it will change nothing around the world, other than put a little bit more pressure on tyrannical regimes.

Decriminalizing homosexuality is NOT the same thing as condoning it. I don’t condone homosexuality but I don’t agree with some countries capital punishment of lynchings, stoning and throwing people off buildings etc. As a follower of what God says through the prophets in the O.T. of the Christian Bible, we are told it is a sin and we are not supposed to be a part of that behavior.
Jesus comes along in the N.T. (Matthew 5:17) changes nothing about the sin but offers a path to salvation through forgiveness once a sin is stopped.
However, no where in the Bible I read has God ever told man to go out and kill people for this sin. God always deals with it himself hence The Flood & Sodom and Gomorrah. Unless I missed that part.
I do have to admit the devil in me is causing me to enjoy way to much watching the left spin this in the negative. POTUS sure has a way of sucking the wind out of these people LOLOLOLolololololololololol...........

I couldn’t be any more anti-LGBTQXYZ, but violence against these people is WRONG! Persecution of these people is WRONG! Many of these people are misguided, ensnared by evil, dupes.
Their political agendas have to be opposed and defeated AT ALL COSTS! Their leaders discredited and deposed by all legal means.
In doing so, we can not condone violence and persecution.
