Sometimes, things just all seem to come together. In his 60 Minutes interview, fired former FBI acting director Andrew McCabe threw a ton of shade on Justice Department operative Rod Rosenstein, effectively saying that yes, there was a Deep State coup attempt against President Trump, but Rosenstein Did It. It was all his fault.
In the absence of any smoking gun against President Trump from special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation, that suggests President Trump's deep state opponents are now turning on each other.
I mentioned that a few days ago here, and it's even more obvious in Technicolor in the 60 Minutes report from this CBS transcript here:
Scott Pelley: Are you saying that the president is in league with the Russians?
Andrew McCabe: I'm saying that the FBI had reason to investigate that. Right, to investigate the existence of an investigation doesn't mean someone is guilty. I would say, Scott, if we failed to open an investigation under those circumstances, we wouldn't be doing our jobs.
Scott Pelley: When you decided to launch these two investigations, was the deputy attorney general, Rod Rosenstein, onboard with that.
Andrew McCabe: Absolutely.
Rod Rosenstein has spent 28 years at the Department of Justice. A Republican, he was appointed by President Trump as deputy attorney general, number two at the department. Mr. Trump's firing of James Comey on May 9, 2017 set off a week of crisis meetings between Rosenstein, who was in charge of the Russia investigation and acting FBI director Andrew McCabe.

Rosenstein put his reasons in writing at the time. What McCabe is suggesting is that RR had ulterior motives beyond that which he spelled out publicly.
As I recall, RR basically said in his letter that the FBI was in disarray, the rank and file had lost trust and faith in its leadership, that this was undermining the DOJ, and that removing Comey would help restore morale to the DOJ and FBI.
In addition, Comey handed Trump a copy of that dossier and said "this is all salacious and unverified but you should know what is out there". While Comey admitted it was unverified, his FBI was using it as a pretext to investigate and spy on him and his campaign. It was tantamount to extortion for Comey to do that. Comey deserved to be fired. As did McCabe.
It was just a publicity tour. The MSM has a long track record of failing to follow-up with hard questions against their political allies. Probably one of the worst 60 minutes segments ever produced, as far as hard hitting journalism goes.
You find the Russia link! A German band who sang about Gorky Park!
Two and half years of past history, crib notes and pattern illustrates a distinct pattern of behaviour amongst these snakes.
It was McCabe through Lisa Page leaking to Devlin Barrett (then Wall Street Journal) October 2016 re conflict-of-interest claims and interestingly for self-serving purpose that the DOJ instructed FBI to stand down on the Clinton Foundation Investigation.
It was Devlin Barrett (now with the Washington Post) breaks the story of Rosenstein offering to "wire" the president and remove the president throught the 25th admendment September 2018.
The above story breaks two weeks after Matt Zapotsky (Devlin writing partner - Washington Post) breaks the story that McCabe had been under Grand Jury investigation for several months. Most pundits believe the purpose of the story was to distract from the failing attacks on Kavenaugh during the hearings and set the table for the mid-term elections.
McCabe . . . You were the Acting Director of the FBI . . . if true what you say, (I believe there is a foundation of truth to it) how come you did not go to the secret service and share your memos regarding a possible coup attempt.
Interestingly, McCabe never tells Rosenstein the Comey memos existed. Comey does not share his memos with Rosenstein when he is fired (went to the media first). Then McCabe memos appear after he is fired. Snakes will be snakes.
Oh yeah, one other irony. Mueller, Comey, McCabe and Rosenstein are (were) registered Republicans. Go figure that out. Further proof the enemy controls the narrative from both sides!
Rosenstein pulled off the biggest sting in DOJ history. Job well done.

The source of the McCAbe/ Rosenstein feud is a bit mysterious, but I suspect it is related to the Carter Page FISA.
Rosenstein has said he was “mislead” and that the OIG investigation would exonerate him.
I suspect the “misleader” was McCabe who was FBI Acting Director at the time.
I don’t know how Rosenstein could say he was misled. All he had to do was read the Carter Page VISA warrant before he signed it.
“I dont know how Rosenstein could say he was misled. “
I don’t think he could be either, but that is what he claims.
RR signed a warrant extension, two months after Lisa Page leaked the details of the Carter Page FISA to the NYT.
What on earth did they think they were going to get out of it at that point ?
FBI agent Ronald Hosko investigated Russian bribery in connection with Uranium One. Higher-ups in the FBI kept the counterintelligence aspects of Uranium One secret from him.
He thought it was just typical kickbacks and tax evasion. So The Coup organizers knew how to compartmentalize to hide reality.
You should be doing the interview. Pelley was too busy being impressed with himself to do his damned job. He isn't up to the rigor of a middle middle school publication, a total embarrassment as a network news guy.
Just a few questions from a dumb foreigner, don’t you have laws regarding treason in the US? Why is RR still in the justice department? Why aren’t these guys ALL in jail awaiting a bail hearing?
POPCORN! We'll need more popcorn....
The Deep State is basically a bunch of emotionally arrested adolescent narcissists with unlimited money to spend and access to the most terrifying technologies ever devised.
Be very afraid.
Yes, but this is not treason; it is sedition.
Yes, we have laws against sedition.
The people in charge of bringing the charges are in charge of the sedition.
We have Frank Nitti in charge of charging Al Capone.
(By the bye, Frank Nitti taught Saul Alinsky all he knew.)
