The news show's chief interviewer, Scott Pelley, didn't zero in on that McCabe-Rosenstein feud angle as strongly as he should have. Pelley did broadcast Rosenstein's Justice Department's denial of the entire dual-point charge of both invoking the 25th Amendment regarding presidential removal for incapacitation as well as Rosenstein offering to wear a wire to get something on Trump, all of which pretty much evaded and begged the entire question about whether he was the one leading the coup.

Actually they’re a couple of worms.
To: SeekAndFind
How could he be obstructing justice if he was repeatedly told he was not under investigation?

It has been glacially slow, much slower than we wanted, but as of RR’s departure, I don’t think there are any coup planners left at the FBI or DOJ. Mueller is still there, but he can’t go against his new bosses, so he will probably wrap it up soon. After that, we can prosecute the guilty and purge the two agencies.

Hope they sting each other to Death. Traitor Scum, both of them.

Imagine if Pelley had asked McCabe: Did the FBI investigate the origins of the dossier that prompted the Trump investigation? McCabe of course would refuse to answer but the look on his face would have been priceless. Eventually someone in the MSM will ask that question.

I never actually considered taking him up on the offer. I did discuss it with my general counsel and my leadership team back at the FBI after he brought it up the first time. He kind of contradicted himself there. If he never seriously considered it why would he consult with his leadership team?

Did Pelley even suggest that it was a coup?

It’s worth noting that McCabe’s statements (given above) were gently but unequivally disputed by Rosenstein, who stated that his “recitation” on 60 Minutes was “inaccurate and factually incorrect.”
This statement was given in the form of an official response from the Department of Justice last Thursday, February 14th.

#11. What’s this? A just got out of jail reunion photo?
I recognize Bruce Willis, second from the Left, and that might be Joe Pesci in the middle, but what are the other three? Didn’t age well, did they?

#8. Who’s the Irish Catholic? McCabe sounds like an old Scottish name to me.
However, have you heard the new joke about a Scotsman and a Jew who walked into a Barr?
Coming to DOJ theaters and grand juries very soon.

60 Minutes is coming close to flirting with the truth. I sure it will pass .

READ THIS PART
Andrew McCabe: We talked about why the president had insisted on firing the director and whether or not he was thinking about the Russia investigation and did that impact his decision. And in the context of that conversation, the deputy attorney general offered to wear a wire into the White House. He said, "I never get searched when I go into the White House. I could easily wear a recording device. They wouldn't know it was there." Now, he was not joking. He was absolutely serious. And in fact, he brought it up in the next meeting we had. I never actually considered taking him up on the offer. I did discuss it with my general counsel and my leadership team back at the FBI after he brought it up the first time.
