White House senior adviser Stephen Miller on Sunday went after former President George W. Bush's record on immigration, asserting that the rise in illegal crossings during his administration represented an "astonishing betrayal."
"Fox News Sunday" anchor Chris Wallace questioned Miller on President Trump's decision to declare a national emergency to secure funding for a wall along the southern border, noting that illegal crossings were down significantly from the year 2000.
Miller responded by attacking Bush's record on immigration.
"As you know, when George Bush came into office, illegal immigration total doubled from 6 million to 12 million by the time he left office," Miller said. "That represented an astonishing betrayal of the American people. Im not gonna sit here today and tell you that George Bush defended this country on the southern border because he did not."
Trump and his advisers frequently use Bush as a punching bag.

The core rationale is that nationalism was the cause of both WWI & WWII. As we all know, the globe cannot survive WWIII, so the intent is to eliminate the factors that lead to the first two wars.
The belief is that if the NWO can successfully erase nationalistic identities, then the coming conflicts over scarce resources, open space, etc won't be between nation states. Rather, everyone will realize they're in the same boat, and hopefully work together to reach peaceful resolutions.
From an intellectual level, I completely understand both the rationale that justifies the policy, and the inherent dangers present when nations contest for power, influence, resources, land, etc.
However, the inherent policy weakness is the NWO simply substitutes *actual* localized racial/tribal/religious antagonism for a theoretical *potential* threat of national conflict.
Secondly, by introducing population substitution, cultural displacement and other social evils, the programs require extensive and heavy handed government intervention. Look no further than the UK, where a wholesale destruction of millenia old common law rights (free speech, assembly, defense, etc) has taken place to support the dream of rainbows & unicorns.
Thirdly, DNA research and applied genetic therapies are going to eventually erase racial & intelligence distinctions. So the ideal of the NWO can still be reached without throwing successive countries into uproar in the short term.
That's why I support Trump and his nationalistic posture. I'll go with what is proven today in terms of self government and societal balance vs some championed idea of future utopia. Of course, Bush II was too stupid to even understand the theoretical underpinnings that his much smarter father was advancing. So, in that case, he and Jeb resort to idiotic mutterings about "acts of love". LOL jeez what a retard.
bump for later
How long before the unlimited influx of these invaders collapses the U.S. Welfare system? It will not be pleasant.
Bingo, that was the time to do it. But Bush only talked a good game on immigration and the entire Bush clan were blinded due to Jeb's wife, Columba, who lived as an illegal in the USA prior to returning to Mexico and eventually marrying Jeb. Plus, the invasion of Iraq was in large part a personal vendetta by Bush because Saddam was 'the guy who tried to kill my dad' as GW said himself. I retrospect, a deeply flawed President.
The Bush Doctrine:
Attack the wrong country after 911
Spend 7 Trillion and thousands of American lives in a war that wasn’t in America’s interest.
Leave the border wide open. (911 was the time to deal with the border problems.
Seriously, who can defend this?
Well, duh...
Or drnken coke-tooting playboys.
He handed the future of the public school system to Ted Kennedy.
Yep, W let them get bank accounts and mortgages with a matricula consular id, helping mexicans gain an intractable foothold into our society. Isold my first home in late 2002 hecause my starter-home neighborhood had suddenly become a migrant camp.
We are now one of the largest Spanish-speaking nations in the world. We're a major source of Latin music, journalism and culture. Just go to Miami, or San Antonio, Los Angeles, Chicago or West New York, New Jersey ... and close your eyes and listen. You could just as easily be in Santo Domingo or Santiago, or San Miguel de Allende. For years our nation has debated this change -- some have praised it and others have resented it. Here is an excerpt of a good critique of that speech:
In equating our intimate historic bonds to our mother country and to Canada with our ties to Mexico, W. shows a staggering ignorance of the civilizational facts of life. The reason we are so close to Britain and Canada is that we share with them a common historical culture, language, literature, and legal system, as well as similar standards of behavior, expectations of public officials, and so on. Agree 100%. And biometrics, checked on request, for every guest worker. “Spit here.”
Please, an end to cost shifting onto the taxpayer (”I work cheep, educate my kids and give me free healthcare.”)
Further, I don’t know how to make it happen, and who could be objective about it, but I’d like to see every Congressman receive a deep financial audit, especially if their net worth has substantially increased during their tenure in office. I think there’s a lot of perverse activity going on due to overt and covert bribery.
Yeah, Mubarak was a jerk, Quddafi was a jerk, al-Sisi is likely a jerk, but they had/have what it takes to keep crazy muslims under control.
Yep.
Why is Miller using that low-ball figure of 12M? There were certainly more than that here just a decade ago.

I had not heard about this speech before the election. It just never occurred to me to vote for Gore so I didn't really do any digging.
Even as I voted for him over the other two losers I knew he was just a speed bump on the road we are now on. Even said he would’ve signed the assault weapons ban if it reached his desk. POS.
Shrub was open borders. It was as simple as that. He did not protect us, period.
Bush deserves being a punching bag.
He and Obama are twin traitors to the republic.
Dig deeper into Shrub and I believe we all will be shocked.
