Former top FBI lawyer James Baker, in closed-door testimony to Congress, detailed alleged discussions among senior officials at the Justice Department about invoking the 25th Amendment to remove President Trump from office, claiming he was told Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein said two Trump Cabinet officials were “ready to support” such an effort.

So Baker said, that Rosenstein said, that two cabinet members said...

That's pretty thin hearsay evidence.

And yet we have people on this thread who are posting like they believe as fact, that two cabinet members were ready to invoke the 25th.

Geez.

Removing the President under the 25th Amendment is so ludicrous that it would have to be two seriously stupid cabinet members. Read the text of the 25th Amendment, and you'll understand what I mean.

Sessions wasn't one of the two, if there is any truth to this story. Even if he wanted to remove Trump from office, he would have known better than anyone else how stupid this cockamamie scheme was.
