CNN obtained Roger Stones indictment from someone allegedly in the Special Counsels office hours before it had been unsealed by the court, thus allowing the news outlet to stage a camera crew outside his home and lie in wait until armed FBI agents arrested him, according to a motion filed by Stones lawyers Wednesday morning.
The evidence appears to rest on when the indictment was unsealed by the court.
According to the motion, the clerks office informed counsel for Mr. Stone that the Indictments entry into the docket was made on January 25 at 8:55 a.m., more than two- and-a-half-hours after the news reporter sent the draft Indictment to counsel, and four hours after the news organizations camera crew arrived at Mr. Stones house to film his arrest on the sealed Indictment.
Stone could not be immediately reached for comment. Special Counsels office could not be immediately reached for comment.
Based on this new evidence, Stones attorneys contend his arrest on Jan. 25, was staged for the CNN crew, which was ready to film the arrest and that someone in the Special Counsels office leaked the information.

Time to run out the old “that was a typo excuse”.
I thought it was just me.
While the government has sovereign immunity (as it will likely assert), individuals acting outside of their authority do not. I hope Stone gets to put the responsible parties on a spit for a slow, expensive roast.
Day this happened I clicked over to cnn a few times ‘cause I was wondering how they happened to be at Stones home. From what I saw they were spending as much time trying to explain away how that was, as they were talking about Stones arrest. basically cnn was saying thay just happened to be in the right place at the right time........RIIIIIGHT
Yes. Expose em all. No matter who is hurt.
At least Stone is going to force Mueller’s staff to send out for more Maalox.
Violation of Grand Jury secrecy. Contempt of court at least. What will happen: NADA, Zilch, and not a f...ing thing.
A bar complaint?
Its Trumps fault. Impeach now.
It is a violation of the rules of criminal procedure. I think a judge has jurisdiction of this. It is criminal contempt.
does this not prejudice any usa jury member with a tv set against stone? and if so, he cannot get a fair trail and the complaint must be dismissed? what is the motion exactly?
I think that Mueller found a match in Roger Stone. Roger fights back hard.
A tersely worded letter in his HR file.
Since, most likely, nothing will happen with it, it will be precedent for more sealed indictments to the press?
Cynicism aside, the law must prevail. We are watching a slow motion train wreck of the Deep state as it is forced, kicking and screaming, to live by the law.
Of this, there is no question!
Say what you want about Roger Stone. He fights back, and a lot of people don’t.
