What suspicious acts? He was the passenger.
They were followed into the hotel parking lot why, no idea (Again, more to the story?). Asked why they were parked there, to which they stipulated they were going to get a room. Officer THEN stipulated that when they make a turn to be sure they use their turn signal. So they were going to get a room, without IDs? (Suspicious Activity) Passenger was acting fidgety and told not to reach into his bag (Suspicious Activity) Wont give his name and then says he has an ID, which he wont relinquish so now he has an ID, after he said he didnt (Suspicious Activity). The passengers body language says a lot and is projecting a negative connotation. (Suspicious Activity) Told to not try to stuff anything between the seats (Suspicious Activity). The Officer is noticing hes tensing up and asks him to not tense up (trying to deescalate the situation) The passenger was not being compliant and keep talking instead of obeying the commands of an officer. Re-watch the video and look at the cues and responses by both sides. Without all the information regarding the stop, no one can extrapolate why this situation escalated the way it did. There are many things that can be conveyed via body language, i.e. a hand gesture, posture or even a look. IMO, the media is projecting and trying to set a narrative, not investigating.
