All charges against the tazed man were dropped.
Interesting, huh?
Sadist cop.
Where were all the "good cops" I keep hearing about?
Should the city's taxpayers be penalized for the misbehavior of those cops?
He’s gonna win, and he’s gonna win big.
Those poor kids.
Yes. Be ready for a huge jump in liability insurance.
The word you are looking for is S-A-R-C-A-S-M.
In some of our cities, when you signal a lane change some @hole will move to block you.
I thought one of the objectives of body cams was to keep the cops in line as well as to document subject behavior.
That’s the AZ way.
I learned to drive in CA.
I moved to AZ and had to relearn to drive.
In AZ when the light turns green, you wait, because you know people will be running red. In AZ, you turn left on red in the middle of an intersection because AZ doesn’t have any green left turn only traffic light signals. In AZ, you make sure not to make other drivers upset, road rage and guns are common in AZ.
Watch “Live PD”, a real education.
Traffic stops are used as “probable cause” to stop motorists in order to catch all kinds of criminals. It’s an “excuse”, SURE.
Follow the traffic laws and you won’t get pulled over. SIMPLE!
Drive around with NO license plates, you’ll get stopped! Drive at night without ALL your lights working, you’ll get stopped! Drive like you are drunk (because you ARE), you’ll get stopped!
Then, find a way to LEGALLY search the vehicle. Again, “probable cause”.
Get permission, find contraband on a person while doing a weapons check, observe contraband “in plain view” in the vehicle, have a K-9 alert for the odor of drugs in the vehicle, if the vehicle gets legally towed police are REQUIRED to inventory items in the vehicle. Finding/confiscating contraband during this inventory is legal for prosecution purposes. I’m sure there must be others.
It’s called “law enforcement”. Obey the law, and you won’t get stopped or go to jail. SIMPLE.
my cousin fails to use his turn signals just to get phased in the balls. Get’s him off.
Nobody in AZ follow the laws. Do you live in AZ?
Glendale is pretty big. They can absorb a civil lawsuit.
IIRC the city (taxpayers) are responsible for compensatory damages. If punitive damages are awarded in court that can come out of the cops pocket.
I got it right away, and it is very entertaining to watch those retentive ones miss the point.
Likely "Found" the stuff after the car was impounded.
Whe? During a "drop" afterwards?
Doesn’t count.
It matters a great deal if the cops planted it when no one was looking.
Chain of custody issues if it has been sitting in the impound yard.
Since he’s in jail for burglary, I’m guessing the drug charges aren’t going anywhere.
I’m not condoning the officers response, however, the passenger drew attention to himself by performing suspicious acts. Also, it doesn’t matter if he was driving or not, all occupants in a traffic stop are considered suspicious until a visual/audible assessment is performed by the officer. As I mentioned previously, there is usually more to the story, especially since the MSM’s reporting worthiness has much to be desired. Trust but VERIFY.
