To a great deal of mainstream media (MSM) fanfare, Democratic star Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (N.Y.) and Sen. Ed Markey (D-Mass.) on Thursday laid out the allegedly goals of a “Green New Deal” they say is meant to combat ‘climate change’ by making the United States reliant on energy technologies that produce zero emissions within a decade.
But the MSM ignored a revelation Wednesday by a former top staffer for “AOC” that the true objective of the plan isn’t just to achieve a renaissance in clean energy but to essentially steal the wealth of rich Americans and redistribute it, Venezuela-style, throughout the country — that is, until the wealth runs out.
As Reuters reports, the Green New Deal is likely to be pushed heavily by Democrats in the run-up to the 2020 elections. Ocasio-Cortez, Markey, and other Democrats envision a government-led investment effort (read taxpayer-financed, not private industry-financed) on a large scale to develop clean energy infrastructure while transforming the U.S. economy.

AOC’s Green New Deal is a fantasy on the level of Stalin’s collectivization of the Ukraine and Mao’s Great Leap Forward.

Isn’t that what capitalism does? If you’re doing it right. Make the money, spend the money. Trouble with socialism is, you can’t do it right.
The apparatus has found AOC to be a new tool that they can use to defraud the Nation, that is us.
So that clumsy, awkward slogan New Green Deal has a meaning. Not “green” phony environment BS but “green” as in the color of money.
The New Deal was so voters who were poor could get another set of cards dealt to them in the game to shake things up. Rich stayed rich but paid high taxes to the lazy, nonproducers. Producers had to go against the tide or give up being creative and risking their capital. Trouble.
FDR got them Social Security, all kinds of welfare and government jobs as busy work and the feeling that people deserve the taxpayers’ money and are “entitled” to “entitlements.” The late, great Paul Harvey said people used to be ashamed to be forced to get welfare and the family was shamed if neighbors or relatives heard about it. Now demandingly entitled to others’ money, defiantly.
The New Green Deal doesn’t make sense since there was no old Green Deal it is replacing.
