Former Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) on Monday came to the defense of Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam (D), saying he shouldn't yet resign despite the revelation that his medical school yearbook page included a racist photo.
Lieberman said during an interview on CNN that there has been a "a rush to judgment that is unfair to" Northam.
"One, he says he wasn't in that picture. Two, I think we ought to fairly ask him, did he know the picture was on his page of the yearbook? And three, he ought to be judged in the context of his whole life," Lieberman said.

1: That is his yearbook page - he would have submitted the pictures for it.
2: He got his yearbook - so he would have seen the pictures and had plenty of time to object to them.

Probably true, but he said he didn’t buy the yearbook, and we don’t know for a fact that there wasn’t a mixup with the photos.
Fair enough, but that standard should be applied to conservatives as well, though it rarely is.

He probably did not get the yearbook until months later, and may never have looked at it (and not everyone gets a yearbook!).
Just because he submitted pictures does not mean he submitted that picture!
Yearbooks are generally done by volunteers and amateurs. Easy to make mistakes.

Here’s my quesiton...
Even if it turns out he did do something racially insensitive 35 years ago... what is the reasoning that he should resign?
Don’t like the guy, but seriously... Is the legislature going to impeach him for that? because that’s the only way you get rid of a sitting governor unless they leave.
Also isn’t it so convenient that this photo comes out just after this guy admits the truth about where the left stands on murdering children.
