Northam also sent out a campaign mailer tying both President Donald Trump and Ed Gillespie to white nationalists, then on-the-prowl in Charlottesville, Va.
Later, a pro-Northam group ran an ad labeling Gillespie as a "genocidal white supremacist." Northam dutifully reported the ad as an "in-kind" donation to his campaign.
Not to be outdone, then-governor, Terry McAuliffe, accused Gillespie of having run the "most racist" campaign in Virginia history.
McAuliffe actually took Democrat slime politics to new depths of depravity; McAuliffe suggested Gillespie's campaign was
infinitely more racist than even the secessionist movement which supported slavery, segregation, and opposition to interracial marriage.
That's how ridiculous it got.

Hillary was very good at the "wrap-up smear"----she'd "leak" what she said was damaging info on Trump to the media. Then when the smear was published---she'd wave around the clipping, "proof-positive" that she was the superior candidate.
“Liberals” expanded the public morality Overton window to get their views sufficiently accepted. Now, acting toward their communist goals, they proceed by narrowing that window - creating a continuing parade of trangressors for them to fight against, including their own no-longer-Leftist-enough leadership.
In this case, it was a convenient destroying of one of their own, to distract the backlash against revelation of their plan to legalize infanticide.

Northam has a pattern of racsism that he has continued from his “Coonman” VMI days, through his moonwalking blackface/KKK med school days, right on through to the present - he has used UGLY, racism/bigotry in his campaign against Ed Gillespie (pickup truck ad as one example) and has continues to lob verbal/tweet bombs accusing President Trump of racism, using the CNN Charlottesville hoax.
Of course, the article totally misses the larger point that Northam is utterly morally unfit to be a leader of people due to his views that infanticide is A-OK.

At this point in Virginia... I would think that a politically neutered Northam would be better than a politically-charged Justin Fairfax.
So I am on the keep Northam side of the issue, because he is politically neutered and that is exactly what Virginia needs right now.
If/when he steps down...God forbid he returns to medicine.
It seems to be way past time for non leftists to apply Alisnky’s Rules for Radicals #”s 4, 8 and 13: 4Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules, 8) Keep the pressure on (Kick the enemy when he’s down) and 13)Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. The conception of what constitutes racism changes over time. In 1984 blackface was racist but it wasn’t too many years earlier that it was not considered racism. In the 50s and 60s it was Jim Crow, segregation and voter intimidation that was racism. In the 40s it was lynching. In the 1860s it was slavery.
I think that in the distant future ID politics will be considered racist.
