Rod, I am something of a contrarian on this as much as I would like to see Northam gone because of his support of infanticide. It is a slippery slope when someone is pressured to leave their job because of a yearbook picture over 35 years ago. The Senate Dems tried to destroy Kavanaugh over among other things, comments in his high school yearbook.
No doubt going into the future, people will be targeted for comments they made on social media, including FR. Political Correctness has run amok. Across the political spectrum there are calls for the removal of Northam. Funny that we had Robert Byrd, an admitted Grand Wizard in the KKK, as an icon in the Senate.
Northam's refusal to resign will be a real test for the Dems who must reconcile their sanctimony with reality. IMO they are trying to get rid of him because of the unfavorable light he has brought to their position on abortion. It wouldn't surprise me if the Dems were somehow behind the release of the photo.
Politically, it is better for us that Northam remain in office. I doubt he can remain much longer given the pressure being put on him.

There have been no arrests for pedophilia of a priest for many years.
Not saying that there aren’t pedophilia priests, or wannabes. But the church paid for that sin but hey, just as black people won’t let go of racism even though the Civil Rights movement and abolishment of slavery happened, so too will Catholics forever hear about something happened over 25 years ago and for which they paid the price.

Catholics, when polled in the USA, lump together the professing and attending, and all the rest who are, at best, what I call Chreaster Catholics, those who only attend on Christmas and Easter, or those who do not attend at all.
However, Protestants are never lumped in together, which would VASTLY alter the political vote %. All the mainline, LGBT supporting-churches together with the Evangelical church goers would drastically skew the percentages.
