I don’t remember it from the 40’s, 50’s or 60’s. It wouldn’t have been a big deal for anybody in any case.
I grew up in the 50s and 60s.
My sibs and I were raised on entertainment TV network channels of the time. Lots of variety shows (Ed Sullivan, Perry Como, Many, many others.
