Liberal filmmaker Michael Moore is putting pressure on former Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz as the billionaire mulls a possible run for president.
Schultz has ruffled feathers among Democrats after he announced that he was seriously considering an independent run in 2020, which many critics believe will aid President Donald Trumps reelection.
Appearing on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Moore expressed his disdain for Schultz, mocking the potential candidate for describing himself as a self-made billionaire."
Right away by admitting that you had subsidized public housing paid for by the tax dollars of the American people, you arent self-made. You got a hand-up from us like we wanted it, Moore said of Schultz growing up in project housing in New York. We want to help our fellow Americans. Its a form of socialism, public housing, and yet hes saying, Im all self-made. He went to public university, he went to Northern Michigan University actually, and you know, again, financed by taxpayers dollars. And he sells coffee, which is essentially water using city water systems, municipal water systems
You got to be a billionaire because were paying for the water!

Growing up in the projects doesn’t make the state the cause of a billionaire’s success.
There are very few billionaires. They are uniquely gifted at some skill and the ability to sell it. In my opinion, you don’t get lucky and make a billion unless it’s with a lottery ticket.
So like Schultz or not, he’s a gifted businessman, and any benefit he obtained from government when he was a kid, it was not what made him a billionaire.
And just to be fair, if Moore wants to claim Schultz’ success because of time in the projects, then Moore needs to give just as much air time to the failures that came from the projects and to the big average middle. (Me, for example.)
Do they have nigella tea?
Which mansion of his did he say this from?
/////////////////////
Great point. He rolls back and forth on a huge pile of cash in a mansion like Scrooge McDuck and then criticizes others for creating jobs and getting rich.
If capitalism is so evil then we should challenge Moore, Hillary,Bernie Sanders,Diane Feinstein and Pelosi to donate their mansions and wealth to the homeless and charity.
Dems are eating their own.
We are winning.
Boycott him til he moves and lives in Cuba.
Good, but I hope he runs, will not turn out good for the rats.
Boycott him til he moves and lives in Cuba.

Can’t do it. Cuba has strong immigration laws and border agents to send him away. Did you think they’d run a country without borders? They aren’t suicidal down there.
Well, then, with this kind of endorsement, Howard Schultz should just double down on his run for President. While others have the Midas touch, Michael Moore has a sort of reverse effect, when his condemnation of some candidate or program has the magical effect of almost assuring selection and promotion of the candidate or program. Adoption may be something else, but in any event, Michael Moore no longer holds any influence one way or the other.
Who knows, Howard Schultz may defeat the entire Democrat party.
The crazy part, and hat tip to Michael Savage for noting it, is that despite being a liberal, Howard Schultz is the sane and rational one of the potential dem contenders thus far. He’s a fiscal conservative, knows that somebody has to pay for things, and would be clearly the most ‘centrist’ dem. But that upsets the apple cart of greasetraps like Michael Moore who want a Hugo Chavez.
So now Michael Moore is the lead Bully in the 2020 blockbuster documentary on how the democrats melted down!
Michael Moore is what we used to call a BUFFARILLA, here in Texas. = Too BIG to be a buffalo & too UGLY to be a gorilla.

This clown lives in the sewer where he can eat recycled food for free .........
Why is the left afraid of this guy? I mean, c’mon, there are dozens of liberals looking to win the Dem Party Presidential Candidate lottery. Why is Shultz considered bad? Is there a photo of him smiling with his arm around President Trump?
I didn’t hear this many leftists cry fowl and tell Avenatti to step down from any Presidential intent while he was making an ass of himself a year or so ago.
What gives?
This is so far over the top — even for MM — that I thought it had to be satire. Nope. How does Schultz’s having lived in public housing as a kid take away his from his success as an adult? How does a public water system equal free water?
Does Michael Moore boycott any calorie laden thing?
gawd! how dumb Moore is...!
HHaha! I hope he runs!
Yes and I suggest be and anyone else going there gives Starbucks the name Michael Moore - then tweet a vid of them calling out that name to come claim the coffee!
So what about (billionaire) George Soros?
