Maybe, but the post-Saddam Iraq government is its closest ally. Right after Bush ousted Saddam, Iraqi exiles who’d been living as guests in Iran returned to Iraq and formed the new government. These were Shiites, and the new constitution they wrote praised Shiite law. All this happened under our sponsorship, when Bush was still president. Simultaneously, throngs of Shiite jihadis began roaming the country killing Christians. Ironically, Christians had been protected under Saddam, but it was open season on them when Bush ousted him
