The US Army says Iran is the only victor of the Iraq War
Quartz ^ | Jan 22 2019 | Tim Fernholz

The US Army has concluded that Iran was the only victor of the eight-year US campaign to remove Iraqi president Saddam Hussein and replace him with a democratic regime.

That’s one of the findings of a massive historical study released Jan. 17, the first major military review of the Iraq war’s lessons. Commissioned in 2013 by General Ray Odierno, then the Army’s top commander, it was conducted by half a dozen field grade officers at the US Army War College.

We should have never gotten involved in intra-Arab squabbles in the first place.

Let ‘em kill each other and let Allah sort it out.

Idiot Rove, for whatever moronic reason, seemed to believe that if we admitted what we found that this would draw more Al-Qeada to the area and we would end up with chemical weapons in the hands of AQ.
Nevermind the press running interference for the enemy, Rove had some funny ideas.
There were threads about it back then, on why they weren’t admitting what we found.
Especially after the multiple Sarin gas and mustard gas IED attacks.

Bushbot?
Facts don’t care about your feelings or your ad hominems.
I merely linked to fact.
It’s actual history, if you care to learn it.
Judging by your post, you don’t want to.

Iran is not Arabic. Iran is plotting to have an arsenal of ICBM with nuclear warheads. Iran has threatened to destroy us and Israel. THAT is not an intra-arab squabble,

W may not have had the luxury of not taking out Saddam. We should have destroyed every bridge, power plant and phone exchange in IRAN after 911. Take out a few mosques too.

Bush wanted this result. I remember loving Bush and supporting him on Iraq and following this so closely and seeing Iran take over while Bush watched and Bush had ZERO defense of Iraqi Christians. So disillusioned by the guy. Now look.
Bush is painting delusions and criticizing President Trump. Never said one negative word about Obama. Not one.
There went his legacy.

Should have.
But sadly, we didn’t.
Iran provided aid to Al-Qeada too.
Another point that has been glossed over.

Most of the 911 Terrorists were from Saudi Arabia but we attacked Iraq instead.

While leaving our borders wide open.

The Bush Doctrine.

Worst GOP President in history, indeed.

Trump: George W. Bush behind ‘worst single mistake’ in US history (Invasion of Iraq)

by Naomi Lim
| September 20, 2018 12:11 AM
President Trump said Wednesday former President George W. Bush is responsible for the biggest mistake in American history.

“The worst single mistake ever made in the history of our country: going into the Middle East, by President Bush,” Trump said during an interview with the Hill. “Obama may have gotten [U.S. military personnel] out wrong, but going in is, to me, the biggest single mistake made in the history of our country.”

http://www.nbcnews.com/id/4997808/ns/world_news-mideast_n_africa/t/bomb-said-holddeadly-sarin-gas-explodes-iraq/

“Early indications suggest that two chemical components in the shell, which are designed to combine and create sarin during flight, did not mix properly or completely upon detonation, a U.S. official said, speaking on condition of anonymity. Kimmitt, however, said a small amount of the nerve agent was released.”

Iraq was not known to have binary mix in flight chemical rounds prior to 1996.
Iraq kicked out the “un inspectors” in 1996 or so if memory serves.
The sarin ied, contrary to what the press said, proves active chemical weapons manufacturing after the inspectors we’re kicked out.

I was an intelligence analyst during the war and there we were told we could not write anything in our reports about iran. We sent a guy down to Basra to set up a new collection system and while he was there he found out the reason the British kept reporting nothing about iran was because they had purposely turned their collection equipment away from iran.

Any cretin who asserts the war that began in 1990 somehow ended without showing an armistice ratified by the Senate.

Those idiots.

Please link to the imaginary armistice you just claimed exists.

The war sat in limbo for years, paused by a ceasefire.
Pretty much like Korea. But it didn’t end because the Senate never ended it.
