Author and activist Marianne Williamson has announced a bid for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination, joining a crowded field of candidates.
Williamson, who launched her campaign at an event in Los Angeles late Monday, called on voters to have a "meaningful conversation" about potential political solutions and described the current national discourse as "shallow."
"I want to engage voters in a more meaningful conversation about America," she said in a statement.

Somehow I don’t think this announcement has any of the other candidates shaking in their boots the way Schultz’s talking has.
To: C19fan
Now that Hillary Clinton is (likely) not longer “sucking the oxygen out of the room” with the Democratic Party, this going to turn into one wild nomination season starting this summer. I hope the people of Iowa can stomach what will happen this year well before the Iowa caucuses.

"Our national challenges are deep, but our political conversation is shallow."
On this I can agree with her. There is a lot of shallow conversation going on, free healthcare for all, college loan forgiveness, free this, free that etc.. Though I doubt this is the shallow subjects that she has in mind.
In the whole article, there is one essential thing missing. Why she feels she is the most qualified candidate to be President of the United States.

This is just hilarious.
Let’s add Garrison Keillor or Stephen King to the mix!

Shultz wouldn't either except that he's taking his billions and going 'independent'. If Bloomberg runs, I suspect he'll run as an independent as well. Now that we have a big name billionaire doing that, I wonder if that gives him pause. Could we have a Democratic debate and an independent debate? It sounds crazy but not so far fetched. I could see the never Trumpers putting up a candidate like Kasich as an independent. He could get bankrolled.

Never heard of her so looked her up. Her daddy was an immigration lawyer and Oprah and Bill Maher like her. She might make 0.2 miles of the race.

They’ll have to upgrade to a short bus.

Williamson is usually considered too weird and too far out there for many of the New Age people. That’s far.
I hope she and the Starbucks creep get millions of Dem votes to sink the real menacing candidate’s chances.
Go, Weirdos, Go!
Fight for that nomination.

I think we could start changing this by starting with one subject. Define what a right is. A right does not trample on someone elses fundamental right. For example, free healthcare for all. Does your 'right' to healthcare give you the right to force other people to provide a service for you? Of course it doesn't but it's a conversation we need to have. Of course these same leftist want to limit my God given and constitutionally protected right to keep and bear arms for the protection of my family and country. But that's another story.

She talks in (w-h-i-s-p-e-r-s). How is she supposed to be heard at a rally or in a raucous debate?
