Venezuela is once again in a state of economic and political chaos. Juan Guaido Venezuelas charismatic opposition leader and head of the countrys National Assembly has declared himself Venezuelas interim president, directly challenging the legitimacy of President Nicolas Maduro, who began his second term earlier in January.
In May 2018, Maduro won a highly controversial election in which he suddenly moved the election date from December 2018 to May and banned numerous political rivals from participating in the election. Maduro has also been accused of buying votes and rigging the election in his favor. Much of the international community, including President Trump, now say they believe the Maduro regime is illegitimate and support Guaidos plan to have new elections.
Despite condemnation from dozens of world leaders and tens of thousands of protesters in Venezuela, Maduro, who continues to receive the support of the countrys military leaders, says he has no intention of backing down. Its hard to imagine how this tragic situation can end without bloodshed.
At the heart of Venezuelas collapse is a laundry list of socialist policies that have decimated its economy, including many that congressional Democrats like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., are calling for today. Venezuela, which has the worlds largest oil reserves, was once Latin Americas wealthiest country, but over time, socialist leaders like Hugo Chavez and Maduro implemented increasingly more government social welfare programs, such as massive housing and infrastructure projects, government-run health care, and subsidized grocery stores.
When oil prices were high, Venezuelas socialist government was able to fund and expand these programs, but the good times didnt last forever. Oil prices eventually dropped, driving the country deep into debt. Rather than cut back on government programs when tax revenues fell, Chavez and Maduro printed money and accepted loans from countries around...

The motive is this: Get richer than your wildest dreams by ripping off taxpayers. The cartels will help and protect you, as long as you do everything they say.
News flash, the democrat party has been a swath of destruction for 180 years.
Pushing because their voters WANT those things.
The Millenial generation seems hell-bent on giving socialism a try.

Wait until all the drug cartel money start pouring in for the Dem candidate in 2020
Is it really any wonder the communist dem rats are considered extremely mentally ill?
Wouldn’t it be great if we gave them everything they want but have it only apply to registered dems and known communists (pardon for repeating myself).
They would have to live 3 or more families to a standard 3bd 2ba house. No new cars. In fact any car would be considered a huge luxury item and it would likely be more than 20 years old. They could not own or have any sharp objects or any type of projectile device; not even a slingshot. They would of course be taxed at 90%. They would get one class at college paid for. They get to choose the class. They would not be allowed to mix with normal people (non commie dems) for the good of the nation. Maybe they should be sterilized as well so murdering babies would be off the table. Hmmm... They would all have to go through mandatory deprogramming even though it’s not likely to work since we already know they have a mental illness. Still, we are a humane people, so we should at least try. Perhaps the newly brainwashed and idoctrinated might be cured.
I don’t see anyone who is up to par with Donald Trump who can run in 2024 and beat these evil people. It all does not add up to good happening once Trump leaves.
When the USA falls to Socialism, so will the world.
Of course! They’re all about destruction. Rotting countries out - from the inside.
yes
I believe that the U.S.A. is the last big domino to fall before the New World Order and the Antichrist.
That’s why America is under attack like never before.
Capitalism works every time it's tried.
As Milton Friedman, the famed economist repeatedly said (paraphrased),
".... In the only cases in recorded history where the masses have escaped grinding poverty is where there is capitalist system and free trade....There is no alternative way so far discovered of improving the lot of the ordinary people that can hold a candle to the productive activities that are unleashed by a capitalist, free enterprise system...."
Those who choose to ignore history are destined to repeat it.
