Fox News’ Sean Hannity Issues Warning To People Saying Donald Trump ‘Caved’

“You don’t really know the Donald Trump I know.”

Many right-wing figures lined up Friday night to criticize President Donald Trump for temporarily ending the government shutdown for three weeks without having convinced Congress to fund his proposed U.S.-Mexico border wall.

Controversial commentator Ann Coulter called Trump “the biggest wimp ever to serve as president” and Fox Business host Lou Dobbs said Trump had been “whipped” by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.).

Fox News’ Sean Hannity, however, had a different take.

The “Hannity” host, who is a staunch supporter of the president and even joined him on stage at a Missouri rally ahead of the 2018 midterms, insisted that Trump still “holds all the cards” when it comes to negotiating with Congress for the wall.

Hannity claimed that Trump would simply declare a national emergency to obtain the funds if he couldn’t seal a deal for the wall with Congress during the next three weeks that the government is reopened...

“Tell that to the babies being butchered alive in New York by the same Planned Parenthood ferocious Trump was going to stand up to. The border wall pales in comparison to that failing by the Trump that I have come to know. When push comes to shove, Trump seems to be ushering in America’s darkest hour.”

A good general usilizes strategy and the wisdom of Sun Tzu’s “Art of War” to choose the best time and place for battle, and the best strategies to weaken the opposition from within and hopefully having them self destruct. Have your opposition try to hold an indefensible position is also good strategy.

1. He has no power because he and his family are being seriously blackmailed.
2. He has no power because his chain of command will not follow his orders.
3. He does have power, but is waiting for a more opportune moment to exert it.

I don’t know what he’s waiting for. If he doesn’t start using the power that he has, he will lose all his power. It could be that all he can do is tweet.

But panicking is so much fun!

Bobby Fischer was famous for sacrificing more than just pawns in various gambit maneuvers and he was the best chess player during his heyday.

“fact is Trump caved in this battle. He may still win the war. But it was a resounding defeat for Trump. Once can argue it was a strategic retreat, but a retreat nonetheless.”

I’d like to know what the “cave” was. Trump just kept the airlines from being grounded. The headlines would have been worse.

It’s damn hard to sick Nancy and the Dems with this, even though appropriations are totally the House’s responsibility and Trump just wants a small percentage directed the way the American People do, with the one-sided so-called “Press” in this country.

Border security ranks much higher in all polls than planned parenthood funding by taxpayers issue.

Trump gave up his leverage and putting the pressure on the Rats in the shut down fight. His actions speak louder than his words.

I also thought, according to Trump, the shut down was all about the wall. And now the shut down is not about the wall.

I sure hope the National emergency strategy works because that is all he has left (no pun intended).

Sean, I and many like me jumped up and down screaming for you to help us get George Bush to seal the border and get a handle on the illegal invasion in the months/years after 9/11. You hung up on us, yelled over us, cut us off, then refused to address the issue so as not to ‘hurt’ GWB.

Despite the indefensible position to support a President who refuses to do the right thing for America, you held fast to your RINO globalist ways.

You just go with whatever way the wind is blowing. Whatever the RNC/GOPe tells you to say, you say.

YOU are as much the cause of us being in this position as anyone. You’re a simple minded lapdog for the RINO cabal. As soon as Ronna or Karl tell you to turn on Trump, you will in a heartbeat.

Stuff it.

Looking weak when you are strong is another Art of War strategy. Trump sure has been looking weak, maybe that’s because he is weak.

> But will he? Or will he just keep whining?

Methinks Trump's best chance for surviving any legal (which in this case means political) challenges to having the DoD build the wall is to exhaust every other option first ...

The 2nd day the B. Hussein caliphate was in office, January 22nd 2009, B. Hussein issued THREE executive orders to close club Gitmo and the Rat/RINO unitreason party said nothing. He displayed that his #1 priority was to his Jihadi heroes. Yet here we are over 2 years later and Trump will not do the same to save American lives. WHAT the hell is going on here?

If he goes this route, will it and up in one of the liberal appellate courts?

If the legislation is as clear on this as some things I've read say, then it might be time to defy the courts. The courts are not the final say on every question of presidential power. If the president orders another carrier group to some trouble spot, can federal courts block that order?

The resistance will fight him in the courts tooth and nail and likely win

The resistance (to a wall) is in the GOP Senate caucus.

They just had a meeting with Mike Pence. Voices were raised. Senators "told it like it is".

What do you think they told VP Pence?

I bet they told him, "Tell Donald if he spends a dime on a wall, Karen can start measuring the curtains she wants in the Lincoln Bedroom".

That sums it up pretty well.
It may end up being a momentary cave.
But a cave none the less.

The best filet mignon for me was on a cruise ship in their specialty restaurant, and the surcharge was like $30, probably cheaper than Ruth C.

The word “Cave” in this matter was started by the Pelosi team along with media ‘selling’ it to the public........Since when did we carry their ‘verbiage’ and surrender to their manipulations and tactics? It's all over FR as people ‘bow’ to this idea of Trump caving.

It's beyond embarrassing to see and hear Freepers swallow their poisoned cool-aide and pass it around here.

Time will tell, but that does not appear to be his track record. Trump needs a come to God experience where his ego diminishes and he finds his strength in God. Then he will be an even better president.

Yes.

Some “concern trolls” - libs posing as disgruntled former supporters. But far too many are serious.
