I stand with Trump!
During the Second Punic War, the Dictator (a by-law position that lasted exactly 6 months), Fabius, was dealing with Hannibal by using unorthodox tactics; specifically by staying on high ground and NOT engaging except maybe to pick off scouting parties.
The Roman citizens were screaming for his head. They wanted a glorious battle and not this war of attrition. Many were screaming that he was a traitor and that he was in league with Hannibal and that he was a weakling.
Eventually they staged a coup against Fabius and established a co-dictator who would do what they wanted: raise an army and attack Hannibal head-on.
Result: the Roman army was routed at the famous battle of Cannae and the Roman Republic very nearly fell because of that defeat.
Sounds a little similar to the screaming monkeys here on FR, doesn’t it?
I believe Trump has the kind of personality that doesn’t take criticism very well. The mouthy lot of his base who are like liberals losing their minds will have an impact upon him.
The counter-attack will be effective, IMO.

He caved. Nothing changes in three weeks that he could not do right now.

After three and a half years of being subjected to the most viscous political and personal attacks an American candidate for and now president has ever been subjected to and surviving I find it hard to believe he’s been “schooled” by the idiot Pelosi. Today has been a tough day for sure, but it’s not the end of the country... yet!

You need to have some patience with the weak sisters amongst us. They’ll see the wisdom of this move later. Trump has been demonstrating that he, unlike the ‘RATS, was willing to go further than “the extra mile”. This will stand him in good stead when he pursues a “declaration of emergency” solution.
I certainly want him to go the Emergency route instead of the DACA route. Hopefully he won’t be getting bad advice to “trust the Democrats/RINOs” because they’ll screw him AND America in a New York minute.
I bet President Trump and Ann Coulter had some great laughs while they were planning for her to kick him in the teeth with her recent blistering attacks. I cant wait for February 15th to roll around. At that point everyone who hasn’t come to the negotiating table for serious reforms on border security will be getting their ass handed to them. Nancy and Chuckie will be first. When Ann criticizes President Trump the Dems and the lame stream media wet their pants with joy. Never underestimate President Trump this is far from over.
