If any freepers really cut and run because Trump caved is not a real Freeper. That said, the whiners here that polish every turd are not real Freepers, anymore than rabid global warming advocates are scientists. Trump did promise to declare a national emergency if they didn't negotiate at the end of three weeks. Sadly this is just a repeated threat. I pray for Our President nightly as all Freepers should and I will never vote for a Democrat for President Ever, at least not knowingly but since Reagan we have a lot of fakes in our party.

Looks to me like he’s tied the noose, and given his knowledge of Congress, it appears that he knows they can’t resist putting their necks through the bite.
Up until know, he’s been consistent in saying he COULD declare a state of emergency. If those words are a quote, then he has said that HE WILL.
Oh, and the Chinese are on the brink of complete financial collapse today. Just declared a very quiet round of QE and they are sending folks over to talk. Meanwhile the entire automotive industry is pulling in its horns, closing Chinese plants, and making contingencies for plants in other Asian countries.

I think the chaos at the airports is getting to people. That’s the quickest way to have the shutdown impact way more than 800k people.
The senate didn’t have 67 votes. He can just keep the veto’s going. Trump is the only trying to get this to work. The Only one. He is fighting EVERYONE. He’s lost this battle but Trump won’t stay down. He’ll make this an issue again. He’s the only one really trying. Even the complainers here aren’t actually doing anything. Good cop, bad cop routine. Trump should stop taking advice from all of them. Replace his entire staff with private sector people he knows and can trust. To hell with lawyers and politicians.
My vote goes for results. Hillary free, no wall, no vote. You can delude yourself all you want. He’s got 21 months and they will tie him up ,in court because he gives in to judges on security.

I get it. It is all tremendously frustrating. You don’t need to be quiet, but how about some viable suggestions for what the president should do in a government with 3 parts in which he only controls one.
