You can tell from the pearl-clutching in here who the hard-core, Lyin’ Ted supporting, NeverTrump Freepers are, who would rather follow their “principles” of all or nothing, and be ok with a Democrat taking over, than having Trump pull back and re-group....

If Trump folds on the wall, I think he’ll have to give up re-election. I don’t think Pence is ready and able to run and win. Guess we’d get a scramble of wanna bes. If he folds and tries to still run for re-election, I bet he’ll face one or more serious Republican challengers.

I haven't forgotten, hence my prior comment. Dragging this out even longer, just to show the public who the bad guy is, won't help hardened liberals 'get it' any better.
Trump needs to go big, and he needs to do it now. The other side is intransigent and can't be reached, but his base is feeling very antsy and impatient.
Of course the base won’t be happy if he caves. I won’t be happy. But what do you think will happen to his presidency if there is a terrorist event on an airline and everyone pins it on inadequate TSA coverage? Or what if there is another kind of disaster everyone will connect to the shutdown? My guess is it’s this kind of stuff his advisors and people in Congress are talking to him about.
You think Pence will fight harder for the wall? I do not think so.

Well, at least the market is up, so we can pay for all the millions of illegal aliens getting almost limitless freebies from leftist politicians and RINOs.
DACA may be in the bill. I’m not necessarily against that. We can’t afford to deport everyone. Giving green cards to DACA folks and telling them apply like everyone else is reasonable. Then, build the wall and start evaluating who all is within. If you so much as have a speeding ticket, you are deported. If you committed a violent offense, zero chance ever of getting back in. If you were non violent, then get at the back of the line after a 5 year wait. If you lived here, kept your nose clean, contributed to society, still are contributing, then green card and back of the line.

Should have declared a state of emergency many months ago - near the start of the administration - it would have be through the courts now. In lieu of that do it now. Dealing with the uniparty is a rigged game.
