Why are the House and Senate still getting paid and taking holiday trips on our expense. Sequester the house and senate until this boondoggle is finished. Why no budget for decades. Lock them up.

MEMORY LANE: Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and Utah Sen. Mike Lee led filibusters of a 2013 budget bill that forced a govt shutdown Oct 1-17.
Democrats and their obedient media were gleeful, warning that Republicans would pay dearly at 2014 mid-terms.

(Yawn——lefty logic at its worst——snore).

What actually happened, the GOP base turned out in droves, Republicans swept to huge gains in both the House and Senate.....
Republicans had Senate control for the first time since 2006, putting Mitch McConnell into the Majority Leader’s role he holds today, years later.

Nothing. If something HAS to be done, lay them off so they can collect unemployment.

- I think our President should stand firm!

- Speaker Pelosi is right - a wall is immoral!

Pres Trump can easily settle this———just announce he is ceasing all shipments of botox until the wall is built.

They should use the limited Federal budget to schedule more pre-dawn FBI arrests of political consultants. This will keep America safe during the shutdown!

Fire all Liberals and start it back up. Then build the Wall 25ft wide, 55ft high and 30ft deep out of high tensile concrete. All the dirt form the 25ft x 55ft trench could be trucked to Louisiana and build a land/sea break that would stop anything

They are missing some options

o I think our President should stand firm!
o Speaker Pelosi is right - a wall is immoral!
o Make it permanent
o Expand it to cover more “workers”

Trump needs to stand firm. The Gov. remains closed until the wall is finished and staffed.

Here’s why; - US Taxpayers are being billed 120 Billion Dollars each and every year for illegals entering our Country.

Trump wants (along with most of the US citizens) a mere 8 Billion dollars to correct this for the Taxpayers.

The Democrats have clearly shown they will not put American people first before illegals. That is unacceptable. The People that are working for the Federal Gov. are on lay off as a direct result of Democratic priorities, …. Americans last.

You do the math. Then tell me who has the American people at heart with their best interest in keeping our culture, language, borders, and finance(s).

GO PRESIDENT TRUMP! Keep your ground. If RIF leads to permanent unemployment(?), — then it’s all on the Democrats. President Trump is doing the Right thing and it’s long over due. End of Story.

(broken record alert). President Trump should do NOW what he should've done when the Legislative Branch left for holiday vacation. That would be to pass the EO to fund the wall.

Pelosi stands firm with ridiculous demands while President Trump backs down in what's a real crisis of invaders overwhelming the US. I wonder if President Trump ever had to deal with strong willed women who would stand up to him rather than ignore him when they disagree.

(I've often said, in real life situations, that men are programmed to not recognize the female *itch gene. If they did, that group would not find partners for breeding)

Trump is highly negligent as the head of the executive. Given that the shutdown will continue with no one able to confidently predict its end, he should order OMB to have agencies begin planning their permanent transfer of their essential functions to remaining agencies. Coast Guard transfer to DoD, HUD block granted to HHS, etc. he should also order furloughed Treasury employees that process Congressional pay.

There are a zillion things Trump could do to tighten the screws, say 5-10 actions a day, but apparently Mulvaney and everyone else in this Administration is brain dead.

Hell why not just bring Sessions back and let him run things if you are so negligent.
