Rush Limbaugh identified National Review as a news media outfit that prioritizes the pursuit of approval [from] the mainstream media over veracity in reporting, offering his remarks on Mondays edition of his eponymous show.
Limbaugh highlighted recent news media narratives framing a group of Covington Catholic High School students as racists, including agreement from ostensibly conservative news media outlets and personalities.

In the Age of Trump, they just keep outing themselves...
Going the way of The Weekly Standard.
That idiot right there, Rich Lowry, is responsible for the pending demise of NR. Controlled flight into terrain - he flew it into the ground.
Recall he and the rest of the NR cabal had a bad case of Palin Derangement Syndrome long before they caught TDS. I recall a smug editorial he wrote then that said, basically, adios to readers if they didnt appreciate their Palin-bashing. Cancelled my subscription after 20 years and they never got another dime from me.
Me too.
I finally got fed up and didn't renew - sub. ran out last summer. I felt "Good riddance" when the last one finally came.
When I use to read NR, I noticed that one of their writers mentioned that everything that starts out conservative ends up liberal.
When they had Peter Brimelow, John Derbyshire, and John O’Sullivan. Mr. O’Sullivan is still at NR in a diminished role.
Yes, but that was many years ago. As Mark Stein said a few days ago on Tucker, it's a worthless rag if one expects to find relevant conservative opinion. Sad that it has gone the way it has.
What’s with the Indian beating the drum inches from the boy’s face? He violated his space and was attempting to get a reaction - I say the Indian is at fault as well as the Black racists, the kid din NOTHING wrong. The media also deserves much blame, as usual.
During the run up to the 2016 election, National Review ran multiple covers condemning Trump. After he was elected, nobody apologized or acknowledged they may have been in error. Victor Davis Hanson got an epiphany somewhere on the way and became pro-Trump but he never had the cajones to come out with a mea culpa.
Rather than irritate their internal Never-Trumpers, NRO acts as if nothing happened. This latest beclowning comes from their desperate need to say, “We were right! Trump should never have been elected.” It beats admitting they were wrong.
Some unhappy reader once told Buckley to cancel her subscription. Buckley replied, “Cancel your own god-damned subscription!”
He was so pleased with that, he put out a book with that as the title.
lol
I’ve heard Ben Shapiro had to delete a few cuck tweets of his own. These people are NOT on our side.
Me, too. That was about the time I discovered American Spectator. It was like, whoa, count me in.
I let my NR subscription lapse after the 2016 election. Every now and then they send me a letter saying, “We miss you, we want you back!” I just got one a few days ago, in fact. I don’t miss them a bit, and this debacle proves that they aren’t worth my time. Good riddance!
On the one hand I totally agree with Rush on this; but on the other hand, I can sort of understand why they are obsessed with MSM approval. It seems to me that there are some many dimwits in this country who still have a naive childlike faith the ine media. They actually believe everthing they see and hear in the media. Which means that hoever owns the media owns the country. JMHO
