President Trump plans to use remarks from the Diplomatic Reception Room on Saturday afternoon to propose a notable immigration compromise, according to sources familiar with the speech.
Details: The offer is expected to include Trump’s $5.7 billion demand for wall money in exchange for the BRIDGE Act — which would extend protections for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) — and also legislation to extend the legal status of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) holders, according to a source with direct knowledge.
Jared Kushner and Mike Pence have led the crafting of this deal and the negotiations with members, according to White House officials.

For any DACA cave, Trump should get the full 25+ billion it’s going to cost to build entire wall. 5.7 billion isn’t going to do it. If we’re going to go all in on the dreamers, we need the entire wall as consideration. Otherwise it’s 1986 all over again.

Trump is extending the Democrats an enormous concession, if true, While fully realizing that they won't accept it. Stopping the wall is more important to them. They are OBSESSED with stopping the wall.
When they insist it will never be built and reject the terms of the offer, even more citizens are going to support Trump. At least, I hope that's the situation. It can't be said that he isn't giving them a way to get out of this mess.

I love hearing those claiming “cave”.....Let me see if the my math is correct:
In 2016 Trump got est. 63 Million votes (Hitlary got an est. 65.5M votes legal and illegal) despite a lot of people who didn’t come out for him because they thought he was going to lose or they bought into the Never Trump B/S.
In 2018 The Democrats get 60 Million votes and take 40 seats and take control of Congress with some of the most radical and celebrated Socialists to ever hold those positions!
The Republicans get only 50 Million vote mostly due to Paul Ryan and all the weak spined RINOs who reneged on their promises of repealing Obamacare, Fund the Wall (we wouldn’t be in this position now), etc...
That means that 13 Million people who voted for Trump didn’t come out to vote, didn’t bother protesting (please don’t give me this, “we have jobs and better things to do....good- keep working your day job why the radical left are active in taking everything from you)!

Where are OUR counter protests?
Where are OUR marches in front of Congress?
Where is OUR march in front of the Justice Dept demanding that the “Russia” probe end?

Sorry folks, I’m not a blind follower of Trump or any politician for that matter - I learned my lesson, the hard way, a long time ago but when there’s virtually NO ACTIVISM from our side (last time I remember it was the summer of the Tea Party ten years ago) let’s not cry when our country is taken away from right under our noses and suddenly we expect ONE person to hold the fort alone!

A wall in the south does not secure the border. The next Prog pres can simply open the gates. Planes fly over them and ships go around them.
We already have all the tools and laws needed to prevent illegal immigration and evict illegal immigrants. A wall won’t help if the Dems still want them here.

During the campaign Trump expressly stated no amnesty of DACA, so it's not a just a cave, it's a betrayal.
