"I know you all saw the blue tarps when your plane landed in Puerto Rico," Miranda told the members of Congress in the audience, referring to temporary roof coverings provided by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to homes that lost their roofs after Hurricane Maria hit in September 2017.

..union unrest in PR is the reason emergency water and supplies were left
on the docks during the hurricane.
The demonrat officials made sure they blamed DJT.

Why do they still have blue tarps up this long after a hurricane?

....Florida had 4 medium to big ones in one year......2004
We had blue tarps everywhere and it took a long time to fix all those roofs

So, let me get this straight, this Dude, Miranda, caved to the unions, who threatened to boycott if the musical was not run by the union?

We have a breakdown, Barrios says, describing the collective reaction The damned collective never reacts as it should.

Why are they not hiring Latino actresses and actors for Hamilton since they are in PR. The show since it is a wishful fantasy about Hamilton being black, why not change the ethnicity where ever it is playing except for white because that would be untruthful and racist
To: McGavin999
Unfortunately it’s the new norm. Where there is no money the blue tarp stays or if money received it is used for something else.

Well, isn't that special! This is the production of Hamilton that the partying Dems got to see, and the promoter who moved the production is an
outspoken Trump basher. Sounds like a win-win for him.

What did they do with the billions that have already been sent. One of the first things they should have done is take care of the people. I know they spent a fortune trying to get the electric up, but how much would it cost to get enough material to cover roofs.

I haven’t seen it. You can’t complain about cultural appropriation, then rap your way through my history. I just choose to not participate.
That being said, I hope some of the younger folks learned some modicum of history from it. They certainly weren’t taught much about it in school.

The move was logical. They did it “to avoid the threat of union unrest and campus protests over rising fees.”
If the Teatro UPR hadn’t self-sabotaged, the show would have taken place at their theater.
