Proctor & Gamble is urging men to shave their toxic masculinity in a new ad for Gillette razors. The ad shows men fighting, cooking barbecue, and verbally harassing women, interspersed with news reports about the #MeToo movement.

“Im sure they are deluged with calls. No doubt many didnt like their little liberal social experiment.”
Yeah, I’m thinking “call when ya got a few minutes to kill” if for no other reason than to tie up their phone.
Call as many times as possible to chew em out about their “devisive” and “offensive” ad.
“Im back to using other cheap razors. Well I got myself a couple new electric razors last year anyways.”
—
I go with the cheapo disposables - but as I mentioned to someone else here, not BIC. I need something that’s a bit more easy on the skin and doesn’t leave me a bloody mess, as BIC does,
But there are enough razors, cheap, expensive and otherwise to easily replace any need that a guy could have for Gillette.
“The Young Turks? That alone is enough to make me avoid your products.”
—
That was the extra mile of stupid. Bad enough to tick off your customers as a whole, but to compound it by adding a political spin goes above and beyond the call of moronship.
Love to see a women lose your toxic feminism ad. REALLY FAR TOO LONG OVERDUE.
Harrys is into gay pride. Did you follow the link?
Gillette can pop the blades out of the cartridges and stick them up their @5535.
Just as Harry’s is breaking out everywhere at the retail level...genius timing, Gillette!
Nah. I think I’ll lose my Gillette razor instead.
Yeah Bic is what I normally get. I don’t shave as much these days (different style, lol).
Bic razors will cut you lol, so ya gotta be careful. I often run across the cheap brands. They work for all I need them for anyways.
Using TYT really ticked me off. That idiot woman on there. I’ve only seen her and a small bit of her DNC nonsense from “Trump can’t win” videos. Same with that moron Cenk.
“...serfs to whatever conquerors decide to come along in the future.”
That is, to a conqueror who was not so stupid as to rid his country of men.
The Chinese certainly will not.
Are there any heavily-bearded Taliban or Sikhs in that ad?
I wound up getting some Wal*Mart gift cards last year.
Most of it went to groceries but I reserved a small amount for a 2nd, backup, electric trimmer/razor.
I’ve had it about 6 months and haven’t used it yet. I have another cheap one they had. It works pretty well, especially for the price. It was like $15-$17, lol.
My favorite razor (a 3rd) I had kept in the original packaging for like 15 years. FINALLY broke it out years ago. It worked great - until the battery would no longer take a charge. I’m going to have to order batteries from eBay and do some handiman work (there’s that toxic masculinity again).
No I did not. Well, shuckydarn. Someone recommended Walgreen generic or Bic shavers. Maybe if one of them is not into politics/gay agenda, they would be acceptable.
Three years ago I bought a twin edge razor, 100 blades and lather mug and horse hair brush and shave soap for $60.00
I just bought a new soap...
Screw Gillette...
The zeitgeist has suppressed manliness, and then sets up a strawman of machismo that it proceeds to bash.
I tend to be sympathetic even to the macho men. At least they are in the ballpark (pun?) But Christlikeness is best.
I like the remark of one early 20th century philosopher as reported on Facebook that women never were equal — they are superior, inasmuch as what they are given, they cause it to grow. That’s an excellent point, and that would help explain why the Garden serpent went after Eve first. The serpent could do more damage that way with that kind of leverage. But with this power comes certain vulnerabilities, which is why the womenfolk need the menfolk to be men. A Christlike combination of tough and tender is difficult to find in this world estranged from God, so if the roles have to be farmed out, the men need to be tough and the women, tender.
Don’t get angry at Proctor and Gamble, who are lost like much of society. Pity them. I don’t know if their competitors are any better.
Yeah, I found some good cheapo off-namebrand shavers for “sensitive skin”. I picked up some BIC shavers a short time back thinking that maybe things would turn out different from before. No such luck, looked like the Manson family had their way with my face.
The only time I can watch TYT is of the meltdown video from Election Eve 2016 - great good fun!
They must figure that today's millennial "men" and younger respond well to this and us traditional real men are dying off at a fast pace.
Gillette, P&G, and many others have made the same calculation, so this is not a one-off by some obscure company trying to make a name for itself.
I am personally very offended by this crap. As CarmichaelPatriot wrote in #15 above, Toxic Masculinity won 2 World Wars, took us to the Moon, built the Pyramids, the Suez and Panama canals, broke the sound barrier, performed the first heart transplant, and much much more." I'd add that white males built almost ALL of Western Civilization, created calculus, created thermodynamics, opened up the atom and the electromagnetic spectrum, invented radio, created music, created science, and almost everything we use every day.
Even the statistics they are using to prove white males are evil was created by almost entirely by white males:
One fine morning I got all speedy with either Bic or the cheapos.
LOL - oops
I was debating, but after hearing about this on talk radio today and seeing this article, it’s Harry’s Razors from now.
Caught me right at the time I was going to get replacement blades.
Eff U Gillette. Have fun selling your razors to .....uh.....hairy apes?
Ordinarily, their marketing department’s analysts would get their way. However, political correctness and a wish to appease packs of snarling hounds might override this. Oh they will have less-appealing commercials, but at least they won’t be filthed by an evil crowd they are ill positioned to stand up to.
Like J.C. Penneys, or Target did?
