The reason this made me chuckle is because it reminds me of the behavior of that icon of the green movement, Al Gore, whose personal carbon footprint dwarfs whole towns and whose predilection for private jets is the butt of many jokes.
Gore’s environmental hypocrisy is well-documented. Criticism of the former vice president’s lifestyle goes back over a decade. A 2007 ABC article entitled “Al Gore’s ‘Inconvenient Truth’? – A $30,000 Utility Bill” shocked supporters and critics alike.
“If this were any other person with $30,000-a-year in utility bills, I wouldn’t care,” said the president of the Tennessee Center for Policy Research at the time. “But he tells other people how to live and he’s not following his own rules … he is not living the lifestyle that he advocates.”
Hilariously, the left sees attacks on Gore’s hypocrisy as unfounded. “I think what you’re seeing here is the last gasp of the global warming skeptics,” scoffed a former Gore adviser in response to criticism. “They’ve completely lost the debate on the issue so now they’re just attacking their most effective opponent.”

So I guess “carbon offsets” are like a “diet offset”? The swells pay other people NOT to eat so they can claim they are on a diet? Is that how that works?
He should be forced to set his AC to 80 deg year around. That temp would render down that sweat-hog in the Tenn heat.
Don’t forget that I Gore increased his bank account by $100M in the first 8 years when he left office.
IOW, Gore gets a free pass because he is a tireless green warrior who has devoted decades raising awareness about climate change.
The medieval Church had a similar con but their version of “green washing” was “indulgences”. Sin all you want and the Church gave you forgiveness.... for a price.
Interesting, when the Jim Bakkers and Jimmy Swaggarts were preaching and it was found out they were a whoring, the media lambasted them out of the pulpit”(or in their case, off tv)
We know why the liberal media doesn’t do the same with Gore, their friend and ally.

Um, hardly. Gore is a grifter and people who believe him are fools.
He may be an idiot but he ain’t stoopid.
Exposing Hypocracy is an underused technique. Trump is getting the hang of it, but he could do better, by visual images, without comment.
(It’s the comments the marxists nitpick, changing the subject. Like Obama’s wall—they focused on the height, not the blatent hyoocracy)
Suggestion: Unannounced, Trump shows up to stand outside Pelosi’s mansion, and declare, “NANCY PELOSI, TEAR DOWN THIS WALL!!!” Then leaves. Press pool brought, told nothing ahead of time. Cameras rolling.
No other comments, no questions. Hit and run. Can you imagine the heads exploding coast to coast? Every channel of msm will play it, over and over. Let the talking heads try and spin it.
It would be legendary, for generations. And turn the tide.
