Poll: More Americans Than Ever Want to Move Out of the U.S.
National Review ^ | 01/05/2019 | By MAIREAD MCARDLE

A record number of Americans say they would want to move out of the U.S., according to a new Gallup poll.

In 2017 and 2018, 16 percent of Americans said they would want to leave America permanently for another country. The rise corresponds with the beginning of the Trump presidency in January, 2017.

The percentage of those who say they want to leave the country is higher than both the 11 percent who said they wanted to leave while President George W. Bush was in office and the 10 percent who said so under President Obama.

Those who said they wanted to leave the U.S. tended to be members of groups that lean Democratic, such as women, youth, and low-income people.

One fifth of women said they would want to live in another country, compared to only 13 percent of men. Three in ten of the poorest 20 percent of Americans said they also would like to leave.

All age groups saw a rise in desire to leave the country, but the highest percentage was 30 percent of Americans ages 15 to 29 who said they would prefer to move.

Many high-profile Democrats threatened to leave the country for Canada or Europe if Trump became president, although few did so.

” I bet most of those expressing such a view are too weak to follow through. They will just sit around and whine.”

Actually that’s an option to the Left when they’re under Reagan or Trump, and if it were an option to stay and lie low under what the Democrats have in store for us, I’d stay.

But it’s not an option for us, when they take control NO ONE is left alone to whine, instead we get ‘re-educated’, at a minimum, along with being wiped out financially. There is no historic exception to the rule - the only question is how far they go. Do they take it to Cambodia levels, or maybe (hopefully) less? I guess it depends on just how angry they are at us, for what we are. And if you think about that for more than a few minutes, you quickly realize that it’s going to closer to Cambodia here, than, say, even Vietnam (which didn’t have a genocide, but was still nasty to people like us, after ‘liberation’ of the masses).

Pure BS. These malcontents will not and usually cannot move abroad and just move to conservative/traditional parts of the USA and take a big liberal sh*t where they lay.

Out of the +200 countries in our world, there are only 9-10 you’d consider living in long-term.

It depends entirely on how you rank many factors: safety, medical care, quality of life as you define it, climate, ease of travel, Gov’t interference or control in your life, etc.

They all have trade-offs, as our own country has.

Stay here and enjoy the good, or consider another and enjoy something/s about it you like...

but wherever you are there are +/- you weigh and accept.

“We can’t leave. Too old. Six pets.”

People *do* leave even in their 70s.

People do take pets with them.

Age is not a barrier.

Mental processing is the barrier.

The people who have the means to leave & want to leave maybe SHOULD leave. If they had the means to leave & didn’t leave when Obama was president, then they must not be too bright. To want to leave now when we got a real president is further evidence of their illogical thanking. Head out,folks...you won’t be missed.

Yeah, not sure why everyone is mocking proglib whiners. If/when the tables are reversed, whining will be the least painful of conservative options.

That's why Trump has to seize the initiative now while patriots still maintain some semblance of control. To fail to prosecute the war while we still enjoy an advantage is unconscionable. Why condemn a large swap of the productive class once the left has fully weaponized vote fraud (eg ballot harvesting, no ID, non citizen voting, etc) to gain a permanent majority?

In the abstract, it's all kind of fascinating to observe an entire nature conducting slow motion suicide. When has a country allowed itself to be invaded with any form of resistance? Are we vastly overestimating the worth of our fellow Americans? Perhaps they really do deserve the fate that is coming if they don't defend themselves.

As for me, I can only offer opinion and support. If people fail to act, then it's in my best interest to have a bug out country.

I know people who moved to Chile.

I read that after Social Security was privatized, the average Chilean has a higher net worth tha the average American.

...and the government leaves you alone, which is always welcome.

RE: Majority were expat-friendly places in South America, I think one was Honduras

I find it ironic that even as you would think of moving to Honduras, thousands of Hondurans are forming Caravans, crossing the Mexican wilderness to come here!

Let it not be said that I'm not open-minded. If we can get rid of 52 million (16% of 330 million) RAT supporters, I'll take my chances with a couple thousand new ones in the caravan and let them in.

Interesting points and questions. I’ll respond to a few:

“When has a country allowed itself to be invaded ‘with’ any form of resistance?”

Obviously you meant ‘without’. As to the question, Western Europe, if anything, is beating us to that end-game. There are significant differences in that there’s no way for them to NOT understand what’s in store, when they have to live under Islam - they know, and simply don’t care. They also don’t have a First Amendment or guns, so resistance is virtually impossible.

“Are we vastly overestimating the worth of our fellow Americans?”

ABSOLUTELY, great point!!! Like the Europeans, we think that once they come here and see our riches, they’ll do everything possible to join us, including respecting our cultures. Well, in the US, most immigrants do want to earn our riches (most are not MS-13, after all), but virtually NONE OF THEM will give up their cultures at the same time...they want us to become their old countries. Europe is a bit worse, because while the above is true, they also pretty much have no interest in even working, plus they commit terrorist acts for sport.

But in ALL CASES, the political bosses still think, or at least claim to think, that they will simply ‘blend in’, even though they see NO SIGN of it in Europe and very few signs in the US (since many former Mexicans are actually great Americans).

“Perhaps they really do deserve the fate that is coming if they don’t defend themselves.”

If people aren’t willing to defend their culture, then they do deserve the fate they will receive from people who still love their culture (even though that is very likely to be an evil, murderous, culture).

As for me, I can only offer opinion and support. If people fail to act, then it’s in my best interest to have a bug out country.”

Yep, agree. For me, it will just be a matter of getting my money out of this country before the currency collapses.

If they are so unappreciative, and so ignorant of the blessings of this country, then, I welcome their decision to move elsewhere.

Brainwashed people who have no understanding of the freedoms we have and why we need to defend these freedoms, will never be good citizens who will defend our country.

Good by, Democrat-liberal voters, and good riddance.

“Which part of the world were you thinking?”

Texas

I used to want to sail the globe, but things just ain’t how they used to be and I’m probably not up to it. So now, I think I would enjoy to putting around on a large pontoon boat on a large resevior in the Land of Texas; reeling in very large bass and skillet sized blue gill and crappie. I ain’t partial to catfush though.

“All this talk about people fleeing the country is as you suggest just talk. The never seem to actually leave.”

They don’t leave because other countries won’t take them. Other countries enforce immigration laws. You have to prove your value not just look for a better deal. As if their is one?
