Poll: More Americans Than Ever Want to Move Out of the U.S.
National Review ^ | 01/05/2019 | By MAIREAD MCARDLE

A record number of Americans say they would want to move out of the U.S., according to a new Gallup poll.

In 2017 and 2018, 16 percent of Americans said they would want to leave America permanently for another country. The rise corresponds with the beginning of the Trump presidency in January, 2017.

The percentage of those who say they want to leave the country is higher than both the 11 percent who said they wanted to leave while President George W. Bush was in office and the 10 percent who said so under President Obama.

Those who said they wanted to leave the U.S. tended to be members of groups that lean Democratic, such as women, youth, and low-income people.

One fifth of women said they would want to live in another country, compared to only 13 percent of men. Three in ten of the poorest 20 percent of Americans said they also would like to leave.

All age groups saw a rise in desire to leave the country, but the highest percentage was 30 percent of Americans ages 15 to 29 who said they would prefer to move.

Many high-profile Democrats threatened to leave the country for Canada or Europe if Trump became president, although few did so.

Democrats say they want to move out of the U.S.

Good.

Leave now and stop taking the free government handouts.

I'm surprised that it is that low considering the level of extreme indoctrination this group receives on a daily basis from the entertainment and education establishments.

If it weren’t for having kids at home during Obama’s reign, I’d have likely left. Had a few places in mind too, but couldn’t do it to the kids.

RE: 21. Ruth Bader Ginsburg

THAT was a surprise. It was said that she wanted to move to New Zealand. A Fact Check showed this to be false:

To these turncoats, I say, “Walk your talk...or shutup!”.

Very few of those espousing these threats ever leave the USA.

In a new country, THEY will be the foreigner/immigrants.
In a new country, THEY will have to learn a new language.
In a new country, THEY will have to assimilate into the culture.
In a new country, THEY will have to figure out how to make a living.
Are they willing to give up their USA citizenship, permanently, just to escape a 4, or 8, year presidency?

To them I say, Delta is ready when you are...one-way only.

And...good riddance.

An emotional reaction to a stupid question. Only a few actually take up residence in another country. You need a job. Unless you’re a muzzy, you can’t go into a country and get free stuff. You need to know the language. Few Americans know any language. You don’t know the culture.

Not going to happen. A better question would be “Did you leave the country since 2016?” but then you would have to track down the ones who left.

Interesting. Does any of them want to move to a socialist “paradise”?

As my old boss from he!l used to say..”Don’t let the door hit ya in the a$$ on the way out!”

To the left: Go, and maybe you’ll stop bad-mouthing the economic freedom that created our prosperity.

To the right: Best to stay and fight because you’re going to run into leftists everywhere, until you have no place to run.

I’ve traveled over the years as a tourist to most of Europe, Russia, Egypt, Jordan, China and Japan. The people, cultures, sights are interesting but I’m always glad to return to the USA. We may think we have problems but the USA is better in many, many ways. The policies of the socialist Democrats, if continued, may send us into the crapper but our USA will remain better than other countries as long as good citizens keep working and have faith in our future.

Majority were expat-friendly places in South America. I think one was Honduras, but we’re talking years ago now. Nowadays I’d definitely be looking at Brazil and Poland.

The reality is, they all have problems - and yes that’s putting it lightly. The obvious go-tos: Aus, EU, Japan, are basically no-gos given the different legal and rights related problems.

And I am one of them. Would love to find somewhere to go where I could eke out a living. My dislike for the Democrat Party and the ruin they are bringing can not be described in any language existent on the face of the earth.

Trump was the last hope I had for seeing the rule of law return to this country.

Two years later, Hillary Clinton is not in jail, nor are any of her co-conspirators. Nor has a one been charged with anything.

It’s hard to conclude that the rule of law will return. Therefore if you want to live under the rule of law, you have to go to some other place that has it.

How typical... Destroy a country, decide they don’t like what they have created, then move to the next one to do the very same.
