A federal judge has extended special counsel Robert Mueller's federal grand jury six months.
The Washington-based grand jury was seated for an 18-month term that began in July 2017 and was set to expire in the coming days.
Chief Jude Beryl Howell of the D.C. District Court oversees the Mueller grand jury and granted the extension, CNN’s Katelyn Polantz reported.
Under federal rules, the court is able to extend a grand jury's term for another six months if it is "in the public interest."

Courts wasting more tax payers labor. Don’t think dollars think hours or days, weeks or months of labor. Maybe more than a year for some folks. Is this really worth this much FORCED LABOR!

Mueller should be given a 7 day deadline to wrap up the witch hunt then charged the $30m he has cost the American taxpayer
Sadly, the American public can’t do a damn thing. Trump is President. If he can’t get the Justice Department to bring in one single scalp from this coup... well, he is going to get what he... and he alone, allows. Personally, I can no longer get emotional about it.
I imagine a D.C. Grand Jury has a lot in common with the OJ Jury and the Black Congressional Caucus.
Pretty obvious that Mueller is failing in his attempt to “prove” Trump-Russia collusion. So, give him more time to dig up insignificant facts. (Pssst, don’t tell Mueller that Trump drove past the Russian Embassy in 2016 - could be explosive!).
