Incoming House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) said in an interview with the New York Times that the Constitution considers her to be President Donald Trump's equal.
Pelosi is set to regain the speaker's gavel after spending eight years as House minority leader. Pelosi was the first female speaker of the House from 2007 to 2011, and she maneuvered to get the party's votes necessary to secure the speakership again after Democrats won back the chamber in the November midterms.
In a piece with a headline declaring her an "icon of female power," Pelosi was asked by the reporter "if she considers herself Mr. Trump's equal."
"The Constitution does," she replied.

There’s no way the Republican led U S Senate will vote for conviction.
She in no way owns an entire branch of government. She’s an old dingbat.
Embrace the Suck!
Pres. Trump worked his first $1 million, which he borrowed, into more than $10 billion. So wheres your $10 billion Nancy?
her health issues (buried by the corrupt liberal media) will now become apparent
If my memory is correct the original Constitution does even mention a Speaker of the House as an office. Keeping with the House of Commons Congress through its ability to make rules created the office. The Speaker is mentioned in regards to an amendment regarding Presidential succession or incapciation.
Hardly...
Nanzi Pelousi, M.P.
In Canada, the UK and some other Commonwealth countries, M.P. means ‘Member of Parliament’. In this case, ‘M.P.’ means ‘Mafia Princess’.
Funny how the Dims cite the Constitution when you know that they really despise it.
The Pathetic drunk is there for another two years..
Ugh. I must correct my post #56. I always thought that the original line of succession was Vice President, then cabinet positions by date of establishment. I was wrong about that.

The Speaker is mentioned in the original Constitution (Article I, Section 2, Clause 5). Sections 3 and 4 of the 25th Amendment refers to the Speaker as one of two Congressional leaders who receives a written declaration regarding whether the President is disabled.
Nope.
Have been watching the vote and ‘show’ of the vote for speaker today. Stunningly when she was called to vote she wasn’t paying any attention and it took others jabbing her for her to vote for herself.
What a show it’s been...called all the kids up there to accept the Speakership on “their’ behalf. Once again using kids to push the emotions.
They took a vote on something but the republicans yelled no very strongly but she said the yea’s had it anyway.
Absolute faulty and ineffective congress!
Yes she just said that in the house ....what a show that is today!
As far as I can tell Jim..she believes she is the queen of Atlantis.
That’s a good one!!!!
That pesky little Constitution saves us again.
