Almost a "gotcha" header. One would have thought from the header that there was a constitutional problem but, as is not unusual for 'trigger finger finesteen', she wants to add more infringements to the 2nd Amendment. As for the "widespread support", I'd be more inclined to believe that "widespread ignorance" is more likely the case. Due to lies spread by the msm and lie-berals.

I just assumed the only reason she had a problem with it is that the president is proposing it.

Feinstein admits the way President Trump banned bumpstocks was not correct. So she wants to have a legislative solution.

The GREAT AMERICAN BUMP-STOCK BAN bill will consist of the following:

  1. Bans manufacture, sales, and possession of bump-stocks.
  2. Bans manufacture, sales, and possession of trigger cranks.
  3. Bans manufacture, sales, and possession of binary triggers.
  4. Bans manufacture, sales, and possession of standard-capacity magazines.
  5. Bans manufacture, sales, and possession of semi-automatics.
  6. Bans handguns.
  7. Mandates a background check for private sales of firearms.
  8. Mandates a background check for sales of ammunition.
  9. Mandates a background check for sales of firearm accessories.
  10. Bans manufacture, sales, and possession of pump-action firearms.
  11. Bans handguns again, but this time, harder.
  12. Mandates storage requirements in the home for all firearms: Unloaded, in a floor-standing safe.
  13. Bans concealed carry.
  14. Mandates liability insurance of one million dollars per firearm.
  15. Bans handguns yet again.
  16. Bans manufacture, sales, and possession of lever action firearms.
  17. Bans laser and telescopic sighting apparatus.
  18. Bans manufacture, sales, and possession of revolver-action firearms.
  19. Bans all firearm magazines.
  20. Mandates liability insurance of one million dollars per cartridge.
  21. Bans handguns yet again.
  22. Bans all reloading equipment.
  23. Bans manufacture, sales, and possession of bolt-action firearms.
  24. Bans all gunpowder or propellent.
  25. Bans manufacture, sales, and possession of breech-action firearms.
  26. Bans manufacture, sales, and possession of muzzle-loaded firearms.
  27. Bans all rifles.
  28. Bans all shotguns.
  29. Bans all handguns.
  30. Bans all ammunition.
  31. Bans the possession of metal in civilian hands.
  32. Bans civilians.
  33. Bans non-civilians.
  34. Bans absolutely everything in the universe.
  35. Bans the universe.
  36. Bans handguns again.

The sale and manufacture of automatic weapons have been illegal since the National Firearms Act was updated in 1986.

Wouldn't it be cool if we held the majority in both the House and Senate so we could repeal nonsensical laws like this one and 1934's ban on silencers and short-barreled rifles? It could be a nice gesture to the millions of gun-owners who dutifully vote GOP every election.

Sigh... Maybe some day.

Bump stocks are a fun waste of ammo. Sound suppressors, on the other hand, are a health issue where the use of same would save folks’ hearing! Guess which the ‘legislators’ will allow in civi hands without restrictions.

“...it’s encouraging to see the Trump administration take action on gun safety...”

The hell you say Beth...no it’s not encouraging. And “gun safety” is the left’s euphemism for gun control. Gun safety is taught by the NRA...not THE Bloombergs and Feinsteins of the world.

“Congress must still pass a law banning bump stocks and other similar devices, such as trigger cranks.”

Damn these people.

I was thinking “Who cares about bump stocks ? Trigger cranks are the way to go!”

I’ve never fired a weapon with a bump stock, mostly because of the negative stories I’ve been told by those that have. They claim it’s almost impossible to get a tight grouping because the action of the bump stock causes to weapon to jump around too much.

If you’re into spray and pray, perhaps a bump stock would be right for you.
