Marc Lamont Hill, Sept 7, 2009:
"I am thrilled to announce that Mumia Abu-Jamal has joined the Barbershop as a weekly contributor!! His column, Live From Death Row, will appear every Wednesday starting next week.
Mumia Abu-Jamal is one of the worlds most celebrated journalists, freedom fighters, and political prisoners. Since his early days in Philadelphia, Mumia was an active member of the Black freedom struggle. From his award-winning journalism to his involvement with the Black Panther Party, Mumia has devoted his life to Black liberation. Wrongfully incarcerated since 1981 for the murder of Officer Daniel Faulkner, Mumia has continued to place a spotlight on various forms of injustice around the globe through his numerous columns, commentaries, and books. Mumia has generated international support for his own case, which has been one of the most glaring and repugnant reflections of the criminal (in)justice system."--Marc Lamont Hill

Mumia Abu-Jamal is 64 now — he could sign up for early retirement!
Some here mistakenly thought Castile was Mumia’s prosecutor. He merely made statements against cop killers, as a prosecutor. Imagine if anyone who detests cop killers couldn’t be an appeals judge.
Three decades on death row is not a death sentence.
FRY MUMIA.
I bet that POS walks. Some American court jury decisions are among the most stunningly misguided on earth.
Another black-robed jackass gives a cop-killer a high five.
How long before he’s out and gets a gig as a regular contributor on MSNBC?
The case was cut and dried. Mumia shot the officer, stood over him and finished him off with another shot. Multiple witnesses. Mumia bragged about killing the pig on the way to the hospital (Faulkner managed to return fire after being shot the first time before being killed). Anyone with a brain that examines the evidence and trial transcripts can come to no other conclusion than that this scum did it in cold blood.
Give him an appeal. Turn him loose. There should be hundreds standing outside the gate with ropes and pitchforks, and he would beg for incarceration as opposed to the alternative. But that won’t happen.
Let him join Stanley “tookie” Williams in hell
Too bad he hasn’t been found dead in his cell yet. Maybe he could be sent to the same prison as Whitey Bulger....
I am holding in my hands at this very moment, a signed copy of Maureen Faulkern’s book “Murdered by Mumia” which is co-authored by Michael Smerconish.
I found this book about 10 years ago in a used bookstore in Edmonds Washington.
On the inside, on the title page, is a handwritten note from Mrs. Faulkner to “Michael.” I don’t know if it was dedicated to the co-author or another “Michael.”
Below is the text of the note which was written in cursive with a blue felt pen.
“To Michael. 11/15/08.
Thank you for all the support you have given me through the years.
M. Faulkner.
4699”
4699 would be the badge number of the murdered cop Mr. Faulkner.
The left’s drive to free Mumia is an element of something they are great at which is constant and perpetual struggle for their beliefs.
It just happens to be that I disagree with almost all of their beliefs and 100% of their goals.
Tie him up, add some Sterno to his beard, and light him up.
