Since he stepped off the escalator. Definitely created chaos among the GOP establishment elites. Put them in an unrecoverable tailspin. And the media. They still can’t figure him out. Can’t lay a glove on him. And set Obama, Hillary and the democrats smirking. Now their heads too are spinning in chaos as PRESIDENT Trump begins securing the nation and draining the swap. Go ahead Schumer, make my day. Keep the non-essential government shut down til hell freezes over. MAGA!!
Best election, best POTUS, evah!

The Nonessential Federal Government

Here we go again with another partial government shutdown.
The fact that government shutdowns are so regular, and annoying to some but never a catastrophe tells you something.
The fact that the vast majority of the federal government is nonessential enough that the vast majority of Americans can get by just fine without it tells you something.
Basically, its national security and defense including border protection, by the way that are considered essential. Gee, thats interesting. Thats basically what the U.S. Constitution mandates for the federal government. Everything else was left to the people and the states. Theres also Social Security and Medicare. Retirement and health insurance were not part of the Constitution. But once the government passed laws making them promises, they became essential. Whether they government should have done that is another discussion.
Beyond that, pretty much everything is nonessential.

President’s announcement of Syria troop pull-out has heads spinning and politics in a whirl in US. Wonder what it is doing to Syria, Turkey, Iran, and Russia. Once they figure out the new landscape and make their moves, it wouldn’t surprise me if Trump decided to stay in Syria after all.
Trump says northern Iraq troops and US soldiers will be available to help and apparently Saudi and UAE troops may go there. I no longer let a lot of this stuff bother me, but prefer to wait and see what the long game might be.
