Newly elected New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a self-described Democratic socialist, called for a furlough of congressional salaries in the event of another government shutdown on Saturday.

Damn, this commie loony tune has a great suggestion. Ole Nancy and Schumky and all the rest of the swamp are likely filling their shorts over this challenge to Congressional integrity. She’ll pay for it big time, count on it.

And we’ll be in a fine mess if because of HER influence it actually grows legs when WE’VE been calling for that for 30 years !
She’s not making any friends in Congress and she hasn’t even taken office yet!
Well, they definitely qualify as “non essential” workers.
In fact I would classify them as dangerous.
Congress critters dont depend on their paychecks. That’s just chump change to them.
I appreciate that she has suggested Congress not get paid. I also appreciate when she mentioned how the health care she will now get as a congress critter is cheaper and incredibly better than what is available to us sheeple. Maybe there is hope for her in the future. Will it last or will she get paid off.

There was a push on to get her on the Ways and Means Committee. This could go away...
So she’s admitting she’s a non-essential government employee?

And YET she was whining because she couldn’t find a place to stay or afford it yet!
She wants the salaries stopped as a show of ideology (suffering with “the people”) but she wants free food and housing and internet while she’s not getting her “salary”
