“So I guess the gov’t will steal all the drug patents. OK, then we have cheap drugs. But no more new drugs because the gov’t sure ain’t gonna do the R&D.”

Exactly. New drugs are funded by tremendously expensive R&D, much of which does not result in a marketable product - thus the need for huge “profits” when a particular drug is considered standing alone. Take away any incentive for developing new drugs (and now that is mainly the US market since so many other countries don’t give the”legal monopoly” of a patent right w/r/t drugs) and no new drugs.

Democrats rely on their constituents believing they can “fix problem” such as high prescription prices or not enough income tax from “the rich” and there will be no change in behavior by those hurt. Pharmaceutical investors will invest elsewhere, rich people will find ways around tax changes. But that’s because the reality is today’s Democrats are simply just Communists.

Do you notice if you take just four letters out of the word ‘’nationalize'' you can spell the word "nazi''?

Also unconstitutional. Government has no constitutional authority to produce any product.

I am a former federal employee.

No way in the bowels of Christ do I want a government paid worker overseeing how my cholestorol, kidney, or heart medicine is being made and encapsulated.

Liz Warren, go foam at the mouth on your own time, outside of Congress.

My remarks were made in sarcasm. My apologies, as I thought my referring to AOC (Occasional-Cortex)as a brain trust would be a dead give away.

With regard to your remarks, I fully agree. Additionally, with the government running competition with free market operations, and using tax dollars to subsidize, would put such a free market operation out of business leaving the government the sole producer of the products.

This is not socialism, this is much closer to communism.

Now think a few years back when the VA had a monopoly on veteran’s health where vets were dying while waiting for care, where they died and left to rot in their bed, another case in a shower. Now imagine what government prescription medicine would be like?

We totally agree, red, you and I.

Your expanded remarks are very succinct and so true, that to contemplate implementation of loony Warren’s ideas would be one of the scariest things to happen to our beloved country.

How does she get away with talking like lunatic without SNL doing skits on her. Rhetorical question.
