He was trying to get Mulehead to say he would NOT consider treason (which he did), and take stuff “off the table” that Flynn could be threatened with.
But the fact that Flynn refused to retract his plea should tell you that Mulehead indeed has something on him.
Sullivan knows this is frame up but he is ethically bound to accept as fact Muellers case if Flynn refuses to recant his guilty plea.
Sullivan is pleading and even threatening Flynn with jail if Flynn continues to insist he is guilty
If Flynn would withdraw his guilty plea, then the case would have to go to trial. And maybe Flynn just can’t afford to go through that.

It's hard for me to have any sympathy for him. Every legal problem he's facing has been his own doing.
It doesn’t take even a third-rate lawyer to get Mueller to take treason off the table. Flynn couldn’t be charged with treason even if he sold nuclear secrets to Turkey.
Could he have been charged with treason if he had sold uranium to Russia?

A charge of treason can only be made when the foreign nation is legally at war with the U.S. That's why the last person charged with treason in the U.S. was some Japanese-American dude who had gone to fight for the Japanese in World War II and was prosecuted in the early 1950s after he returned to the U.S.
